Corolla LE Hybrid vs Hyundai Ioniq SEL Hybrid

They're identical in virtually every spec. Just the size I want.
Price difference is more or less within a hundred.

Corolla: 1st-year Hybrid, made-in-JPN
Ioniq: unmatched 1st-owner warranty



While I never owned a Toyota the reputation is drummed in. But I'm totally unfamiliar with Hyundai. Just have the perception it has stepped up a lot in recent years.
Your input is appreciated, especially about Hyundai.

[ps] why not Honda Insight ? Honda seems to say "hey buy this engine...". It feels like 90% value of the Insight has gone into the tech/powertrain they just stamp out a shell to contain the engine.
Should have put into Civic, too big for me.

 

Toyota's been in the hybrid game for a long time, so there's that to consider.
IMO, the Corolla looks a bit better than the Ioniq on the exterior.

I believe you can get the Corolla hatch in manual if you go with the gas version...just sayin...
