2006 Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR

One of the most sought after cars in the world! Not many of these cars are produced each year and this McLaren SLR has over $11,460 in interior color options. From the detailed interior leather combinations to the unique exterior color, this vehicle will not only turn heads, it will stop people in their tracks. The exterior color is Crystal Palladium Gray, a rare combination of metallic paints. This modern day supercar travels from 0-60 in under 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 208 MPH. It boasts a 5,439-cc, 24-Valve, 90 degree V-8 engine with 617HP @ 6,500 rpm. The fiberglass body panels keep this vehicle light and the ergonomic design of the interior prepares you for the experience of a lifetime as you push your foot down on the gas peddle.

I would have expected M-B to use carbon fiber or kevlar.

On Feb-10-06 at 07:12:24 PST, seller added the following information:

A small correction in the item descrition. Instead of fiberglass the body panels are constructed of srong and lightweight Carbon Fiber. The trunk lid is fiberglass to allow for antenna transmisssion. Thank you for your interest.

I think gray is the best color for a Benz. Black and Silver are a dime a dozen.

Is it me or does thi thing have the worse interior in a supercar yet? They could have made it racy and luxurious like ferrari does with their interiors.

The SLR is a car that is having an identity crisis. It doesn't know if it's a GT or a supercar. Whether it's interior is luxurious or sporty. Don't get me wrong, the performance numbers are stout. I just feel that they messed up on this car. It's too much of a niche car.

generally speaking, I'm not a fan of the red interior (I'm pretty sure I would get the urge to kill after a few days inside of it), but

I'm waiting for BadAcCLS to come on and tell us he really has an SLR in his make-believe garage.

While I respect the SLR, it really does not excite me at all. For the $$, I would take many other cars over this.

Wow that color makes it worthy! A few week ago I passed an SLR pulling into the MB stealership and man the exhaust note on that thing was pure evil even when it was coasting into the dealer, I love it!

yea, there is nothing exciting about this car. it is a big, bloaty pig. just look at how slow it is on this list - 7th place!!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/topgear/powerlaps/

Pagani Zonda F - 1.18.4
Maserati MC12 - 1.18.9
Ferrari F60 Enzo - 1.19.0
Ariel Atom - 1.19.5
Porsche Carrera GT - 1.19.8
Ascari KZ1 - 1.20.7
Mercedes McLaren SLR - 1.20.9
Ford GT - 1.21.9
Ferrari 360 CS - 1.22.3
Porsche GT3 RS - 1.22.3
Murcielago - 1.23.7
hot damn, when did the Zonda F get top spot????

need to find a video of that test.. anyone have a link?

serious though, for the money, I would take a different car too - a CGT. But I do think it has some exciting-ness to it. It's handling prowess really amazed me, for being an MB and for being as heavy as it is..
