Cayenne time?

Going to look at this soon and possibly (likely) purchase it. Looks in great shape, low miles (less than my 2023 T) and has all the options I want in addition to a nice choice of colors. Pretty stoked, waiting to hear back from dealer. It'll tow 7700 pounds so can easily tow a track car in the future.

Nice color combo, the Cayenne has grown on me over the years.
Cheaper than I was expecting when I opened the link.

Do it.

7700lb tow capacity is primarily chassis limited, Cayenne powertrain / brakes are great.

Even with my peasant OG Cayenne, no issues towing my 4500lb trailer with a fully loaded vehicle through mountains in 90 degree heat.

What are you replacing? Or just adding to the fleet?
having a car trailer would be awesome, I’m so jealous that you have all that room for storage!
Have you had Cayennes as loaners during service visits?

BRB going to call Porsche Clifton Park about a blue Cayenne S they have for sale.

Kidding, that thing look awesome though and the colors are on point. Price is, as others have said, less than I would expect so that's great!

I love the colors, that's a large part of what drew me to it and the low mileage. It has a hitch installed and a lot of the options I would likely have ordered plus it's CPO for 2 years.

Me too!

That's great to hear, this one has air suspension so it'll look good while towing!

The CX9 is history and yes, I had a Cayenne once for a loaner and really liked it. Plus 1 on the storage issue, I have 5 acres of land and a big fully-equipped garage (QuickJack lift included). I worked my ass off and saved, invested and waited until I mostly retired to indulge myself. Ordered a fiberglass pool two weeks ago for us to enjoy. I had no idea the pool composition determined the color of the water, this is what we chose:

I like the exterior color, the lighter interior colors give me pause, but if it's your cup of tea, then go for it and enjoy it in good health They're great cars with awesome road presence

My main issue with lighter interiors, is that i have 3 kids
When I bought my Mercedes, they had its twin with full leather instead of MBtex, but the leather was light gray. Hindsight, should've gone for it, it was also on 18s instead of 19s & had the top trim full LED headlights but double the mileage.

We have a lighter interior on the Expedition, in between gray & tan. Has held up well, of course the kids are a bit older too.

Welp, it may be over before it started . . . the young salesperson said he would let everyone know the vehicle was being looked at by me tomorrow, Monday the 17th. I told him I'd give him $2000 deposit on a credit card to hold it for me and he said he couldn't do that but he'd ensure the vehicle was here-he didn't and someone else in the dealership wrote a deal on it so unless the guy's financial app crashes I'm fuxored. I told the young idiot it was an all-cash deal and that I was 99% certain I'd buy it.

I had a Cayenne loaner a couple of years ago, and I just happened to have a lot of plans that weekend so I put probably 500-600 miles on it, I liked it better than expected.

I hope you will enjoy your pool to the fullest, but it’s funny because I wanted to fill mine with concrete. It has been leaking since we bought the house nearly 20 years ago and I finally had enough and decided to get it repaired and resurfaced. Where I live it’s fairly densely populated, even finding a 1 acre lot is a huge deal and either comes at a steep price or has water/flooding concerns. I’ve been looking off and on for over 10 years, but never found something that I would make me want to move.
Im sorry to hear about the Cayenne possibly going away. Reminds me a bit of my experience many years ago, the local dealer had a Q7 v8 well equipped, 1 owner, bought and always maintained there. I convinced my wife to go test drive it with me… well, it sold while we were test driving it. Someone called from out of state and bought it sight unseen. I just took it as a “it wasn’t meant to be” and now I am the proud owner of a Honda Odyssey. So who know maybe you will have the good fortune I had and your next vehicle will have excellent power sliding doors

Regarding the beige interior, I like beige a lot. In fact, my excellent van has beige interior and it’s perfectly fine after 15 years of ownership. My kids are 16 and almost 14. I mean, there is some wear n tear but nothing unusual.

Thanks @PhilB81 for the words of encouragement. I know there's others out there coming up for sale but I really wanted this one bc of the lack of miles and the way it was equipped, it had everything on it I wanted. Oh well. Your pool is either gunite or has a liner I take it? The only worry I had with the interior of this vehicle was what my dog would do to it either with a back seat protector that has a hard bottom so he didn't get occasionally knocked in to a hammock like thing directly behind the seats. It was a minor worry, he won't physically hurt a thing, just hair it up.

We have a ~15k gal pool. Gunite & PebbleTec. Best bad or worst good decision some days. We don't use it quite as much as we expected to, 3 busy kids, 9th, 5th & K grades. But being Houston, we get 8-10 months of useful times out of it.

We did salt water after seeing chlorine prices rise significantly with our last pool.

Ours is about 11K gallons and the installer will be trucking in two tankers to fill it! Bam, let's go swimming in a salt water pool. Giddy up

We had to fill ours from our own hoses. Took a bit & surprisingly didn't make a big difference in our water bill.

After the pool we had at our old house, we went with a much simpler design. Our old pool was 24k gal, with a large rock water feature/waterfall & a really complicated cleaner system.

I’m sorry again that one got away, I do hope something even better turns up for you.
You are correct, our pool was gunite, roughly the same capacity as yours. I didn’t take great care of it for the past 5-7 years either so it was also delaminating. They used little jackhammers to knock off the existing surface and I went with Pebbletec. Seems to be a really popular finish. I didn’t want to deal with the curing / break in process so the pool guy recommended a someone that would take care of the chemicals during that period. I think in the past 7 years, we used the pool once. My kids had some friends over and they wanted to swim. My parents on the other hand use their pool far more often than we do.

regarding the dog, when I had my Grand Cherokee, I folded the rear seats for my dog and I had a 2-3 inch thick pad I would put in there for him. He seemed more comfortable that way than I’m my parents sedan which had a decent hump for the middle seat too. Do you have a big dog? Mine was pretty big, he was a 110lbs Doberman.

00TL, geez that is a serious pool you had!

My "Aero" weights just over 50#, this is what I have in my CX9 for him to ride comfortably along with a fur lined dog harness that snaps in to a seat belt latch. https://www.chewy.com/katziela-exten...ver/dp/1531950

The pool at our old house: 24k gal, chlorine, water feature, built in cleaner system

And our current pool: ~15k gal, salt water, much simpler setup. Ignore the mess, this was right after the Hurricane last July

Very nice dude! Pretty smart putting in a pool that takes up nearly your entire yard-cut down on lawn mowing!

And we're on a 1/2 acre lot.
It definitely helps with less mowing. The area on the right where the [NG fueled] fire pit is, was always very swampy when it rained, glad that's paved over now.

Also, our old pool got almost all day sun, so it was like a bathtub most of the summer. New pool gets decent shade & is a lot cooler.

Wow sweet yard! I’ll post my postage stamp of a yard when I get back, I’m traveling this week.

That’s a pretty sweet dog setup for the car! I would like to have another dog but we travel too much now.

You've only used your pool once in 7 years even living in FL?!?!?! I'd be in that thing every day to escape the swamp ass humidity.

Disclaimer that it was not me that bought that Cayenne, was simply a joke lol.

we used it a bit more when we first got the house, wife and I were in our early/mid 20s. Then when the kids were young they liked to go in, so I was in there with them all the time. I prefer to escape the heat in the AC

also, the disclaimer is what a culprit would say

Sweet! Congratulations, isn’t the trailer hitch something a dealer can install? Or does it come with a brake controller and it’s a bit more involved of a process?

I doubt the Cayenne comes with an integrated brake controller even from the factory. The wiring and everything should be back there already, guessing you can snag a factory hitch setup and DIY install it in a few hours and a couple beers. I did the same with our Ascent and it was pretty easy to do and entirely plug and play, no drilling or splicing involved as all the connectors and bolt points were already there from the factory.

I’m sure it can be installed elsewhere like U-Haul for instance,
maybe even DIY.

Yeah, I didn’t know at which weight it starts coming with a brake controller.
Our van adds a transmission cooler and a hitch for the tow package. I definitely think the wiring and the fuse box is already all there.
if you had a bmw suv, you would only need to pay $8.99 a month to enable your tow package.

Yeah, U-Haul is always an option, but with some cars the OEM tucks in much nicer with the rear bumper.

and for the bmw thing, I was making fun of them offering heated seats as a subscription. Shockingly, people were not impressed and receptive so bmw backed down and discontinued. Then to distract us from this faux pas, they continued on with building the ugliest front on cars imaginable, at times going above and beyond with things like the XM where it is hideous from any angle.

I know on Fords, an OE tow pkg included some things like sway control that cannot easily be added/enabled via DIY.
None of the 3 I've had [with OE tow pkg] had a brake controller. Luckily I've never needed to tow anything heavy enough to need trailer brakes.
