lol, yeah. Sorry, my comment didn’t make much sense without context. Not that context gives my comments any sense generally, but this was one exception.

congrats again on the new grocery getter, I look forward to some pics once it’s in your hands.

Congrats looks very nice!! Unusual for having had 4 owners in such a short period of time / miles.

Congrats. I did a trailer hitch and wiring harness from Amazon and did it myself on an XC90. The harness was a direct fit. Just unplug the rear taillamp and plug this in and run the wires. Hitch bolted right up to factory holes, with no bumper cover cutting.

Technically 2 since the first two owners were a couple and then sold it. I suspect it was in use as a business vehicle for owners 1 &2.

None of the 3 I've had [with OE tow pkg] had a brake controller. Luckily I've never needed to tow anything heavy enough to need trailer brakes.
Doesn't the F150 just come standard with a brake controller? I thought they all had it lol.

It's not that big of a deal anyway, you can buy wireless brake controllers these days that work well and surge brakes on modern trailers are pretty good too so there's that as well.

I just found out on Rennlist that a Cayenne with 21" wheels will cost just north of $3,000 for a dealer-installed hitch! Apparently it's not a simple bolt on kinda thing.

Admittedly not dealer installed but I bet you could DIY this in an afternoon.

You'd think, so. Mine was a 2016 with the tow tech pkg. Had everything but the brake controller.

Saw a Cayenne at Costco today, pulling a double trailer with 2 massive SeaDoo jetskis. No squat in the rear at all, though I doubt there's much tongue weight with those.

Weird that it didn't have one but oh well, I'm sure it was fine.

Cayenne probably had air suspension hence no squat. I've put 1500lbs of sod in the back of my truck and it was completely level the whole time.

Congrats My older brother has had three Cayenne's (2004 Turbo, 2008 V6, and 2016 GTS), you already know the driving experience. Really solid SUV with sporty driving experience, and the massive 6 piston front calipers.

I just got back home an hour ago with the new Cayenne. This thing is a rocket ship, I can't even fathom how quick a Turbo is FFS. Traffic as per usual, hangs in the left lane; swerve right, pass 10 cars, pull back in away we go. I cannot believe how fast this thing is, 1 second slower to 60 than my T!

Tan interior #1!
also, do the rear seats slide back n forth? What’s that lever do under the butt cushion?

I also liked the center console grab handle, I’m surprised it’s not more common.

Yes, the rear seats slide back and forth, the lever is to fold the seat back down/up. Agree on grab handles, my wife will appreciate it I'm sure. The dealer threw in two key rings; one black (mine) and one light blue (hers). She likes it a lot and said she can't wait to drive it.

Lower MSRP than I'd have expected, too.
Hope it serves you well!

So far, so good. It's actually our winter/fun vehicle (bikes, dog, picnics, kayaks, etc.) kinda car.

Do you plan to use it to tow the T to the track? Or what happened with the track car you were looking for?

I will never turn the T in to a track-only car. It is waaaaaaay to enjoyable to relegate it to once in a while use. The track car I was looking for turned in to a 30' in ground pool-my wife has been asking for one for years and so when I recently had a substantial windfall, I initially thought "dayum, track car time!" became get a pool, Lori will love it. I haven't seen her this excited in a long time.

https://www.lathampool.com/products/...tlSojYR7dD0mRg

Unbeknownst to me, the color of the pool dictates he color of the water. We picked "Pearl White" which gives the water a tropical kind of look. Of course just like Porsche, the best things cost more.

Not our pool, it doesn't get installed until late September, early October.

Nice. I know nothing about pools other than I’d want one with beach entry.

It's the best bad decision to make It's great, but a pain sometimes.

We did beach entry, was a non-negotiable for us after having one in our old house. Has an umbrella hole too, and a small bubbler/fountain.

I forgot to post my pool. The dark speckling in the pool is more than I would have liked, but oh well. At least it will hide debris later on. I do love my little turtle and starfish tiles.

No steps or beach entry for us, just a pool we can swim laps in. Steps are on the side at opposite corners so nothing to inhibit swimming.

On the subject of water color, it was cool, when I filled it up (using the hose) the water was greenish, pool guy said it’s because of the hard water we have, but after he balanced it chemically for a pool, it turned blue like you see in the pics. I probably have a pic on my phone I can post if interested.

anyways, I thought it was neat.

I don't know how our initial water fill will look-they're bringing two tankers to do it all at once!

Yeah I thought about doing the tanker approach as well. I think they just fill up with regular tap water, somewhere I saw they might use a fire hydrant. So you probably will get the color change depending on how your tap water is. What is the winterization process in your area?

Our back yard has a slope to it, so we got this multiple times with heavy rain. Not nearly so bad now that the grass has mostly grown back

Just part of the deal with how our yard is situated. Hindsight, should've worked a small retaining wall into the deal.
Now that the grass is grown back & healthy, we don't get anywhere near the runoff we had before.

Yeah, or raise the pool a few inches and pitch the deck up towards it, that way most of it goes around… but regardless, my dislike for pools now would definitely cause me to over react

Well, with how it runs into our patio, ramping any more than it is would force the house-side runoff toward my back door.
Our French drains back there already struggle with heavy rainfall.
