SST: And now for something completely different!

My brother is friends with Robbie Gordon who approached and asked if he could run his series in conjunction with the Indycar race at the Glen this weekend as he needed one more event to complete the schedule. Michael and his team gave it a go and here's some shots from yesterday's practice/qualifying session. I was a little skeptical but it was an absolute riot to watch.

I remember this being shown on TV earlier this year at Belle Isle. Pretty crazy. Who came up with this idea?

I hope your brother isn't concerned about the wear and tear!

He's not actually F-C; the track is basically leased for the weekend to Indycar and Indycar has guaranteed they will pay for all damages to the track as they are the promoter. Robby G approached Michael and asked if they could run, originally he wanted to run in conjunction with the NASCAR weekend but because of the promoter status of the track being NASCAR at that time, Michael wouldn't let Gordon come that weekend.
