Cars and Coffee, Cleveland, 9/18/10

I had my my V. No new pics of that as regulars have already seen current ones.

Highlights of the week:

Snake #1: Shelby GT500 Mustang

Lambo Gallardo

Snake #2: Viper

Prowler. While inadequately powered, they do look really good! Love these.

1972 Lotus vs. modern Elise.

Nice signature on the Elise.

Paul Teutul, Sr's Z06, recently traded. The auto broker was showing it off.
a) Completely built engine rumored to put down 700 to the wheels....but that's just rumor.

b) Customized seats with Orange County Chopper logo

Evos. The two on the right are MRs.

GT-R

SL65

It's taken awhile, but I've really begun to warm up to the looks of the GT-R.

Good pics.

Nice, thanks for posting those. I didn't know a Cars and Coffee was held here. I passed an older 911 (sorry, I don't know the specific 9xx nomenclature) on the freeway earlier tonight. I wonder if it was there.

Hmm... I had no idea that the Elise was not a novelty vehicle for Lotus.

I also didn't know they could be bought in the US until I saw one in downtown Cleveland, stopped at a light. I was tempted to ask the driver if I could see how tough it would be to get in it.

Also, I've seen a few of the old-alongside-new model photos, but I think that's the first one where the new one was smaller.

That Z06 alone made it worth the detour from work (I work nearby)....not to mention the CL65 Black Series (not completely ID'd above).

I ran into one of the organizers for the local C&C last evening. He was towing a BMW M1. Should have snapped an iPhone pic.

2005 was the first year they brought it over to the US.

Its not bad getting in, its a pain in the ass to get out.

The elise in the picture has some clean mods, hes got the same front splitter I have, as well as the exige seat upgrade along with the schroth harnesses.

The Colin Chapman signature is just a vinyl
