The only logical thing I can think of (assuming the SLR didn't lift off) is nitrous.

 

Nitrous on a turbo car is usually a bad idea.

I would guess engine management upgrade on the SL65, increasing boost.

Yes it is, on most modern cars with out re-programing the engine management you'll have detention, which will dramatically shorten the life of the engine and probably end up losing hp instead of gaining. Yes, it can be done, but typically its not wise unless you have a good understanding of what your up against. A lot of turbo cars are running moderately high compression from the factory these days.

 

They are in Abu Dhabi, chances are they can blow the car up without caring.
