Arrogant little maggots aren't they. I find it curiously interesting that these Brits make snide comments about American cars when the charriots they have managed over the last century are nothing to write home about for the most part. Give me a Z06 or a Mustang or a CTS-V or some former gems any day over a British mistake.

Sometimes it's not all about speed, it's about quality too. A Z06 doesn't even compare to an Aston Martin in that category. But for best bang for your buck, definitely the Z06. And mustangs...nothing special. Everybody has one and they all think they're rocket-fast speed demons. Aside from the GT40, Ford makes piles of junk.

 

For teh 100k i save on a z06 ill send it to a custom shop and have a better interior made, and it will be tons better Plus more reliable too

 

You can say that about any car.

Some people have so much money to burn, they hardly care about the price difference. I know the Z06 is the best bang for the buck and an amazing machine, but if you had the choice between the Z06 and an Aston Martin, and millions of dollars in the bank account, you wouldn't even consider the Z06 (unless you want a weekend track car)

Not to mention that the Aston Martin looks much better.

thank you, I agree. I have a friend whos taken his C5 Z06 up to around 180 or so and he said it does NOT bog down like that after you hit 5th. And that was for a C5! The only real explanation for it bogging down like that after he hits 5th would be that its on a dyno. So I call , ain't no airbase. And again look at how rock-steady the view is.

And now way would i ever take a Chevy over an Aston Martin. If you can consider an aston martin then price is no much of an option in this category.

 

I dont think it was on a dyno, just because a dyno would be making some sort of whining noise. However, I do believe he used a camera mount in the car, that is why it is so steady, and you do see it move slightly

 

hmm the speedo just doesn't seem to be moving how I think it should on an actual road. Plus I don't care what kind of car it is at 190mph that camera is gonna be moving alot more than that even with a mount

 

Well if you have had a z06, you would see that it does in fact move the way it shows in the video. An airstrip is smooth, and the car rides nice and smooth, thats why you dont see the camera jumping all over the place.

 

Too smooth...gotta be a dyno.
