Brake Job lube

I know this can be a very debatable topic but my question is what type of lube do you use when replacing your brakes? I know there are a lot of car enthusiasts on this forum that are carefully about what they use.

For what part of the brake job? Many caliper guide rods are listed as non-lubricated so obviously don't lube those. If they are lubricated use silicone or other specific brake caliper grease (the manufacturer will sell this if you want the OE stuff). For the pads themselves I use Brake Quiet by CRC.

I know for caliper pin guides you should be using silicone grease like 3M silicone paste or AGS Sil-glyde but for metal to metal should I be using silicone grease or brake anti-seize?

What metal to metal are you talking about? Pad backer to caliper? If so, they make specific high temp grease for that application.

I don't know about using CRC brake quiet on caliper guide pins or anything that comes in contact with rubber. Looks like it will work on any metal on metal surfaces.

It's a synthetic grease that is safe on plastic and rubber

This is not a very debatable subject. What is debatable is if you need lubing for brake or rim
