Were they purposely trying to bait a cop? Was this staged?

These guys are asshats for driving like that on a busy freeway.

As near as I can tell these guys, or a group of guys, take fast cars out on the open, public raods, bait cops into chasing them, then evade the police. All the while they film their exploits, then make and sell DVD's.

Dumbshits. Would they have any remorse if they killed somebody and their family in a minivan? Probably not. I hate people who think only about themselves.

Guy is a total douchebag.. he slowed down before the V1 went off and just out of sight from highway patrol.. so I'm guessing he was at most 10 mph over.

They don't bait anyone & they do pull over. I think a few people here need to look into the back story of these DVDs & not just assume that they try to play with the police for shits & giggles.

Did you forget the red text? In the last video (same guys IIRC) they waited till the cop lit them up, sped up to get away, then slowed down and let him catch up, then took off, and did it again and again until the cop realized they were putting everyone at risk and he turned his lights off.

Sounds like shits and giggles to me

thats just one city where they were testing the no chase policy. I dont condone this forsure. But what rick-tls was saying, is that these guys were doing a bullrun when doing all this filming, driving from new york to los angeles to raise money for their charities. They're rich and they have money so at least its a good thing they are doing something good.

Who cares if they're raising money....They're driving like asshats on public roads. If they're rich and want to make out a fat cheque to the charities of their choice, they can easily do that without the chance of killing an innocent person or police officer doing his job. They should also donate a couple thousand dollars in speeding and dangerous driving fines.

Which is why I said that you should probably look more into their videos.

I'm not condoning their actions, but some here are exaggerating a bit as to what they do & don't do.

I did look at some more of their videos and they seem to love to mess with cops. While I admit I just looked at the promos on youtube and therefore missed the whole story, I watched one guy pass on the shoulder right by a cop and then when he was pulled, he said he thought it looked like an ideal place to pass.

Even if they do respect cops in other videos, that one they clearly were baiting the cop.

Does it really matter if they're baiting the cops or not? --- They're going at ridiculous speeds on public roads that are filled with other drivers.

damn. Entertaining.

I agree with most of you guys about those guys being asshats for doing that in heavy traffic highway, but I have admit it that it was fun watching it.

btw, that is some long ass exit to exit... like 5 miles or something?
