An attempt to get away from the cops

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Yd88...layer_embedded

I really wanna know the final outcome of this video

I would never do this and driving like that in public is kinda stupid, but this would be a fun as long as you know your not going to jail or no one is getting hurt.

Those guys are crazy. At the those speeds, it doesn't matter how good of a driver you are, anyone can be changing lanes at the exact moment you're passing by and that's it, you're done.

People are idiotic at 65 mph, throw in someone doing 100 mph or more and you're asking for fatalities.

They call that hiding?

I'd be pulling into a garage or something, or looking for a covered parking. If the cops have nothing to do that day they may call chopper and it wouldn't be hard to spot this car.

Great run, and I personally love the feeling of that...but as I get older I recognize the risks and don't do it anymore.

first of all video is old

second, if they they can't ID the driver how are they going to issue an tickit, and i have personally heard/seen of it working, by just out running the cop
it was a lexus GS300, with a TURBO, and i guess they had topped it out in top gear; but it was later at nioght though, so more empty roads

and i was in my car behind them, not doing anything really, and the cop flew by me trying to get the GS

What is the purpose of using a blinker when you're weaving in and out of traffic at 100 mph?

I love the soundtrack though, always thought the GT was underrated by most, it's far more unique than most supercars.

I would venture to say the blinker is probably more useful at 100mph than any other speed...in hopes that people are actually paying attention and WONT throw themselves in the lane you're going into.

This is kinda old. But still, despite being dangerous, I think it's kinda cool. I wouldn't do it myself, or agree to it, but it's kinda badass.

Sorry, that's just retarded.

Baiting cops to chase your supercar in moderate/heavy interstate traffic, including, but not limited to, driving on the shoulder, so you can film the "escape" = Full Retard.

And the driver never issued a signal when lane changing....

D-U-M-B... (but his engine sounded good). I've done something similar to that. I was drag racing on the Capital Beltway in Fairfax, VA one night and a Fairfax County LEO gave chase, unbeknownst to myself or the other driver. We started on the northbound side at the route 236 exit and pulled off a Gallows Road. At the time (fall of '66), the speed limit was 65 MPH. This was a Sunday night and there was a fair amount of traffic on the beltway. I hit 132 MPH. STUPID. Anyway, when we pulled off at Gallows, the LEO pulled up behind us and let's just say, he was not a happy camper.

The guys in this video could easily have toasted some innocent traveler. I would have no sympathy for them if they wrecked, without hurting anyone else, and paid the ultimate price of their outrageous behavior.

At around the 2:54 mark you see him signaling...at the speeds you come and go, other drivers don't see much IMHO.

Not that I advocate this sort of thing, but that was awesome. And yeah, never seen this one either. I remember the Supra one from a few years ago.

Ill see if I can find the YouTube video later since I'm in class right now. But these guys were a part of bullrun and one of the stints had them heading to Vegas. This guy and another in a Porsche were racing. There were 911 calls of excessive speeding of over 100 MPH. They actually hit about 170 MPH. And when a cop saw them they weren't speeding but pulled them over because of complaints but the cop couldn't do anything.

Actually, I would do this IN GERMANY where it was legal to fly. Not bait cops mind you, but driver fast and use signals. Over there, you will use them. Period.

And I think these guys are assholes. Do this in west Texas, or Montana, where there is no traffic to speak of. Then if you kill yourself, no big deal. 10 - 15 over posted is not that big of a deal on interstates, but I know they had to go over 130.

Last 10 seconds, "We're fucked. Over." "We're fucked".

With the other notable exceptions that NO high flying German on the Autobahn would pass on the right and NO slow driving German on the Autobahn would be in the left lane .... except to pass.

And those two things, alone, make a world of difference.

I'd like to see a video of these guys doing this, except the cop they're dicking with is Bubba the Redneck Deputy Sherriff in BFE Alabama. Then, in my alternate reality, Bubba catches em, turns off the in-car recorder and beats the shit out of them.

While I certainly don't condone behavior like that, I must admit it was exciting and got my adrenaline going.

Absolutely. You follow the laws of the road there. That alone is worth the price of admission, as you can predict (99%) what other drivers will do. And pass on the right? Hell, you'll go to jail if you do that in the right lane, and on the shoulder means your car is impounded and jail is your new home.

Was their plate hidden in the last posted video? I know it was dark and they were moving at a good rate but I can't imagine the cop didn't catch a glance of it

I don't understand the purpose of the video.

Were they purposely trying to bait a cop? Was this staged?

These guys are asshats for driving like that on a busy freeway.
