anyone have have a Ridgeline
anyone have have a Ridgeline
the reason I'm asking is at where i work(a corn seed place) they give us truck payments each month(600 bucks) plus free gas cards even when we go home with the trucks. anyhow right now i got 02 Tundra 4x4 i got used about a year ago. Since they'll basically paying the payments the Tundra in and getting a new 08 RTL Ridgeline with Navi and all the goodies. only thing i gotta pay for is like oil changes, and since its under 4 years i don't have to pay if anything breaks.
now most of the time time the heaviest stuff is a skid of seed bags. which is about 1 ton with the skid. I know the Ridgeline won't tow as good as Tundra but just i haven't been crazy about the Tundra. the door fit, the customer service at the dealership is bull shit(they charged me 1300 dollars for a 60,000 mile "tune-up/adjust the valves changed all the fluid and brake job).
so in advance thanks for you guys input.

new tundra, drove the 5.7liter, holy fock u can light the tires up in it without even trying, even after 1st gear, the truck just pulls. power is awesome in it, but we already own an 03 tundra all done up with 9k miles on. as u see we drive it a lot......
uncles sister owns a ridge line, IMO it's a SUV with a bed on it, doesn't haul much.
tundra = work truck with luxury
ridge line = light duty round the house
and the tundra's the dealers got 5-8k to move on them from sticker. they have some kind of incentive going on for them right now. and the leasing is insane on them, 1% i believe, or really close to that.

I actually own a brand new 07 extended cab 5.7 litre I-Force Tunda....and let me tell you somthing. --ITS FUCKIN FAST-- this truck will out tow, out perform, and outrun every truck in its class. The Brakes are HUGE. The 6 speed sport auto tranny shifts great, also if you get the I-force 5.7litre V8 it not only out performs the older weaker 4.6 litre V8 power plant but it saves more gas....i average 17-19 mpg and its my daily driver. Its got all the options from navi / back up sensor / blue tooth / Bose stereo. If i were you i would atleast go to a toyota dealership and take a peak and sit inside / drive around. I was actually in your exact position a few months ago comming from an 03 SR5 V8. this new truck is a completely different animal in a league of its own when compared to the previous body / power plant Tundra.
One of my friends has a Ridgeline, and I couldn't be more impressed with it. The interior space is huge and cushy, the backseat comfortably fits 3 people, and it's fun to drive. It can easily tow two ATVs, and gets good gas mileage.

I won't even drink Gatorade cause it was made orginally for the gator football team. I drink Powerade.
we have a ridgeline....awesome truck. Tundra is way better for towing capacity, but if that's not a huge concern, we picked the ridgline over the tundra due to room, comfort, navi, and the in bed trunk is very awesome. Rides great, gets very good mpg for being a truck, and has most of the comforts from the honda pilot. Plus it's cheaper to insure than a tundra.

Hahahaha
No deal.
since reading this thread right before lunch, i have seen 4 of these things on the road/parking lots...it's an alright looking truck (if you would call it that), but it basically looks like a tiny Avalanche....which is the hottest truck out there!! black on black!
I think you should give the Tundra a fair try. I drive mine daily and I owned the previous generation as well. I do understand your wanting to change but the new model certainly deserves a special attention. It looks good, hauls hard, is pretty comfy, drives great but certainly not cheap. Go for a test drive then decide you don't want one from then.I'm not saying it's the best pickup in the world, but in my own book there's nothing better for the money.

right now i'm looking at 2 rigs
-a Ram 3500 with the new Cummins 4x4 single rear wheels, short box,4 door mega cabLarmie package, drop down monitor for my daughter, pretty loaded out.
I like this truck cause of the mega cab. cause there be time like i'll be out in the field waiting 1/2 hour or hour (I'm 6 ft 4 265 lbs) i can comfortably take a nap in a Mega cab
-a F-350 4x4 single rear wheels, Power stroke, 4 door, short box4x4, King Ranch, pretty much all the goodies , the cab isn't as big as Dodge's HOWEVER cause i'm friends with a retired Ford employee he told me he'd give me his discount. which is like 30% off MSRP. cause he got his Powerstroke F350 FX4 MSRP was 45 grand he got it for 31 grand without tax.
