I noticed how underwhelming it looked from all angles. Even saw one in person this past weekend, still wasn't impressed. It's credentials are great; it's looks don't do it for me.

Aren't HRE and iForged made here too? I'd rock either of those over some of the wack JDM designs i've seen. It never really bothered me where things were made as manufacturing and production has pretty strict regulations on either end of the world (except China...yuck )

From what I heard, there are components of the wheels that have started being made in China. I knew someone who was going to purchase them, and then backed off when he found out this information. If I'm paying HRE prices for wheels, I better have nothing made in China on them.

They probably make them in china and put them together here, so they can put "made in US".

I careless. Those are some sick wheels!!!

nice...Maybe a touch more rubber sidewall. Other than that, looks nice.

is it me, or does the R8 need a body colored insert instead of the black/CF one?

I've felt that way before about products too. If it's some item that's retardedly more expensive than average it definitely rubs me the wrong way if it was manufactured in some third world country. You almost feel like that company is pulling a fast one on you or something even if the quality appears to be there. ("Aha! you buy Chinese made garbage at hand made Italian price!")

Hey guys, thanks for your positive comments about our wheels. One of my GTR customers told me there was some confusion on this thread... just signed in to clarify that our wheels are actually FULLY BUILT IN HOUSE and IN the USA... no overseas parts from here We actually do Carbon Fiber in house as well, so if theres any local Miami guys that want to pass by, come on through! Then you'll get to see this bad boy in person:

Enjoy the pics guys!

I love those rims, but I can't get past the R8's front end styling for some reason.

i came out of starbucks this weekend and low and behold, an R8 was parked next to me. in a regular spot too! double black on red. audi symbols debadged. and hypersilver polished stock wheels and HUGE red calipers. mmm. looked better than the car above. got a pic on my bberry, but too lazy to upload.

Car is HAWT. Wheels are HAWT. Photo shoot is great. Happy to hear the wheels are but it wouldn't matter to me where they're made as long as the quality is there.
