We'll see though, I want to take the winter to make a decision one way or another. The wife wants to keep it because she loves it and I do too, just don't know how appropriate it is to have a $23k paperweight sitting in the garage collecting dust.

Noted. If you don't already buy one in between now and then that is... Mine will be going into hibernation in the next month or so.

By the way, ND Miata and Fiat 124 Spider are leasing around like $330-380 with zero down for 4 years. Pretty good.

I thought the testing waters for sale post on FB was pretty funny...
getting rid of this car that is not practical for a baby and then you list your replacements as 3 equally impractical cars as replacements. :tomato

I'm not selling to get a practical car! It's just for me. 86 is dropping in value and I bought it new and not putting enough miles to justify.

Selling and getting a used S2K or Miata or just leasing one out under business name sounds like a better move. That's all!

Leasing isn't like buying, a longer term is usually not better. With leasing, you are basically paying for depreciation plus interest. Depending on where in the life cycle the car takes a big hit (usually right after the warranty is up) is where you want to stop leasing. This is why many cars have a 3yr lease. A big contributor is residual value though which is why Hondas and Toyotas lease out so well. Same with Lexus and Acura.

^ that + when you are leasing anything over 36 moonths, it defeats the purpose of leasing both logically and financially.

Also stay with 24/36 months lease, avoid 39 months leases.

Ideally 24 months on most cars.

Ohhhhh didn't know. Good to know. Definitely need to a lot of research before jumping into it.

I will probably sell my car in 2 months. Baby is coming late this month!

Just finished a SLATE Alcantara project for a buddy's FRS.This Slate Alcantara was used on Mclaren 570s and a few Porsches.

I recently picked up a super nice industrial sewing machine, finally. The stitching game is super strong now. All OEM stitching on anything. This is fun.

That looks freaking awesome.

If I ever get a FoRS, I'll be coming to you for some work to improve the super cheap plastic panels.

Need to figure out how to remove & ship you some panels from the F150.....Though one is the cluster hood, which I think is integrated with the whole dash....

The owner came by at late night to pick up the panels, so couldn't take any photos with them installed.

But I have a few more ST guys coming in soon for the work!

Started my steering wheel service this weekend.. almost done making the prototypes.

Finished a buddy's car. He got a lot done. Switched from suede to Alcantara. Slate Alcantara with Red stitching here and there.

Yeah, I'll get to the custom shape ones in the future but not now. It's a lot of work, I've researched and talked enough to know how to do it, but it's crazy. Would cost so much too. Does CTS-V have any OEM flat bottom ones?
