I agree, it would look much better on a different car. Did you make them doilies after with that material? Or reupholster a wing back chair and then cover it in plastic? lol
You know I kid, you do great work.

Haha yeah it's huge! It pops a lot, some people like it, others don't.

This is the catch... it's an automatic. He wanted to cover the shifter panel on the left side, so I made a custom one to cover it.

He even swapped out the steering wheel to manual one which doesn't have the paddle shifter.

Some people man... hahaha

haha yeah! I changed it twice because some people just want to buy my set up at the spot.

This is how it looks right now. And I'm working on the steering wheel next week.

Started working with this company called Relicate Leather. Get all my Alcantara and Leather from them. Awesome company to deal with.

Covering the shifter gate I can understand. Loosing the paddle shifters seems like a step backwards.

Come out!!!! Our weekend early morning cruises are the best.

My car?

It's a mix of black suede and style fabric. Started offering the style fabric for shift/ebrake boots and some panels since some people like that style. It's hip. haha

But yeah, all fabric, no vinyl at all. I personally don't like any of vinyl and plastidip for the interior. It cheapens the vibe in my opinion.

Suede/Alcantara/Style Fabric/Carbon Fiber panels/Leather are good way to upgrade the interior for any cars in my opinion.

Does he shift into neutral at stoplights so it rolls back too?

Takes 15 mins to learn how to do it!

Yeah, the automatic 86 is actually a very good car. I've driven it hard before, the transmission is fast and smooth. It's dumb that he got rid of it because he doesn't want people to know that he has auto.

I'm working on a few cars that are going to be showing at SEMA. This is one of them.

I've done a lot of Alcantara work on this car already, but hes getting a lot more now. This car has the Rocket Bunny V1 kit, he's changing it to the brand new RB V3 kit that just came out. Actually very nicely done 86.

Yeah! It's very nicely done, I loved it. There are some kit 86 guys who make it super ricey, but this one was one of the best ones.

I think he said 300hp to the wheels on 91. That's usual for the stage 1 boosted FRS/BRZs!

That looks freaking awesome, looks like it should have rolled out of the factory that way!

Do you have anything for more durable fabrics and stuff? I might consider getting some of the Jeep components wrapped in something to make it more durable if you've got any ideas. Looking for function over form on that one.

haha she's a fashion designer, so if we need to do multiple pieces stitched up, she makes the pattern, cut them up, and stitch them up. Then I put them on the panel.

It sounds very time consuming but she's super fast.. it's crazy

Alcantara is actually one of the most durable fabrics! It's the exactly the same fabric that is used on Porsches, BMW, Lambo. They don't really need to be treated. If you want, there's Alcantara Avant line which is for Marine applications. So those are extra, extra durable. I work with Relicate Leather now, they are one of the official distributors for Genuine Alcantara, I can order any color, type of Alcantara.
