Sold my Borla for $400+Stock yesterday. The buyer agreed to pay for the swap fee too so we went to this local shop to get it done.

I'll be picking up a single outlet track pipe this week. It's going to be loud but will see how it goes!

Ridiculously ugly and heavy stock axleback. Good thing the new FRS/BRZ come with the good looking tips.

I want a bucket seat so bad but can't.. need to keep that ass warmer for sure. The stock seats are very good, just needs a little more headroom.

Not a fan of the roll cage+5 point harness.

There really isn't much stuff that I want more extra on my car! Just put in gas and go!

I've done it already if I was a single.

I really don't want those.

The stuff that I want to do on my car in the next five years are following:

Jackson Racing Supercharger + Oil Cooler
Tomei Unequal Length Header + Tomei Catback
Dyno Tune at Delicious Tuning

That's pretty much it. haha

Nothing fancy.

The reason I want to keep it is that it's fucking cold at the track for the first two session. It's like 40-50. You have to have your windows rolled down all time.

Plus.. the seat warmers are just nice. I love it. LOL

now that is a proper powerplant.

Hopefully it did not change the weight distribution.

this probably falls under "if you have to ask how much, you probably can't afford it."

Hopefully it did not change the weight distribution.
I read the article, it says the 54/46 weight distribution is hardly affected.

Yeah, the weight distribution is almost the same.

Haha, there are a lot of engine swap kits being developed for the car at the moment.

Vorshlag LS swap kit:

Nah, I would just pick up a C6 Z06 for like $35k, if I were to engine swap my car.

If anything, it'll be a Jackson Racing SC. Will get it custom tuned for about 270-280whp and run it safe. That's FASSSSSSSTTTTT for this car.

This is some exciting stuff!

The new tube is 4" all the way and should eliminate any potential for reversion towards the MAF sensor.

We had to oval the tubing a bit but it all clears the hood without any modifications to the underhood structure.

Ryan added a bung there for a fitting to draw in air and a small vacuum for the PCV system when he made the 4" inlet tube this week.

Then an oil catch can system was routed in as well...

So its all wrapped up and ready to go back to the dyno. Problem is the shop we use is booked - hopefully they can squeeze us in tomorrow and update the tune, if not then Monday. Will post up with the results.

As I told Rick early on, this type of aluminum 5.7L LS1 (stock rebuild out of a 2002 Camaro) should make 330-340 whp with our full length headers. The LS2 intake and TB should add a few more. The first dyno pulls and tune already met these goals but there were weird tuning issues, and the next one should surpass that.

After the dyno tune, "CAN BUS - Black Box" integration is next...

More soon,
Terry @ Vorshlag

Yup. They also make LSx kits for E36 and E46's. Didn't take long for knockoffs to pop up. It sucks that they dump all this money into R&D to put out quality parts only to be undercut by seemingly equal copies.

I've talked to a couple of the guys there since I had issues fitting their camber plates with Bilstein Sports. Turned out I needed different top nuts and a different size spool. Super stand up dudes. I think they're working on a Miata LS kit, too.

It's a single outlet track pipe to replace the heavy stock axleback.

Track pipe = 2 lb
stock axleback = 25 lb

I'll be installing it later today. It sounds deep and loud.

Example image:

I thought it was going to be super loud, but my friend picked it up at the same time and he went to the track with me yesterday. Not loud as fuck as i thought it was going to be. It just makes the car sounds like a Subie. The highway drone isn't as bad as i had expected too.

Can't wait to install it today.... it just makes the driving so much more fun.

Seriously... I didn't even notice until I finished uploading the video.

Also my wife's hat was running for the life, I grabbed it and threw it to the footwell. LOL

Maybe my next step would be not to leave anything in the car when going out for a session!? Jeez.

Jon

Jin...it's a short piece, probably why it's not crazy since it's not 8 feet under the seat being affected.
