If I had the money, I would buy it just to store it and be a weekend car only. It is truly a piece of engineering during that time, something we can't say about Acura nowadays.

Last time I looked, KBB won't even give you a value on a Type R. It just tells you that there was "insufficient turnover". It's just one of those cars that is worth as much as someone will pay for it and people are willing to spend a surprising amount for one that is unmolested.

there was only one yellow ITR in NJ that i knew of... he was a former member on here with his 1G TL... this car might be his... i remember seeing it when i went down to his house to buy a few things for my TL after he totalled his car...
I bought mine new off the showroom floor in '98 for $24,500, but the sticker was a little more. I got it for less because the salesman quoted me a lesser price, so when I went to sign the paperwork I told the manager I negotiated a cheaper price with his salesman. Needless to say he wasn't happy and the salesman was called into the office. After a little scolding to his salesman, the manager honored the negotiated price and I walked away with it for a few thousand cheaper than what they wanted (this doesn't include the $5k I put down).
The original final price, after fees, etc., was closer to $30k, where I paid (before my down payment) mid-$20k for it. So after everything was said and done, I paid around $22k for a brand new championship white Type R.

No. I only owned for a little over a year then I sold it. I was getting the mod bug bad and at that time there really wasn't any aftermarket parts for it yet, plus I didn't really want to mod it out because I wanted it to stay true and original. Although, I did lower it and threw some 17's on it, plus my buddy Shaun (rip) who owned and started Nuformz, we were talking about using it in making a prototype turbo kit for it, but that never happened, gotta keep it N/A imo.
