I think that is the difference because that is how it is with the 99 and such. The manual transmission put out 210 and the automatic transmission put out 205.

RSX's interior are better, and even though I know the turbo is pushing a lot of HP now, a turbo car is not ideal for someone who's new to driving. Plus it's safer, that could be your biggest selling point.

Zeroday, even though I think the RSX will still be valued more down the road, GSX's hold their value because they are pretty rare today and like everyone's saying, great cars to mod with AWD. At least when I was looking at them people were asking a good deal of money for them. I would even say they could hold their value almost as well as a Supra.

Normaly, hp rating are based on the flywheel. So, automatic or manual should have no affect on the numbers.

true, but the prelude hp rating was the same too...195 for auto and 200 for manual. Maybe they just turn down the power in the ecu a little bit so the tq converter is less stresses. But maybe it's just marketing to make the manual look more "sporty"

True, but not always and I do recall the manual and automatic versions being different. Look at the new RX-8 (238 HP for the manual and 197 HP for the automatic); that is a significant difference in power between the manual and automatic versions.

Go with the Mitsu. I own a 98 GST and it is a lot of fun. Its also faster than my CLS with only a few mods done to it.

If I'm not mistaken, the RX8 automatic is actually detuned versus the 6sp model. As opposed to drivetrain HP loss between the crank on identical motors with an auto vs manual tranny.

My son will be driving in 3 short years and I'm already considering what to get him. (I'm considering the Civic, Sentra and Tiburon -- My son's considering the Prelude, Eclipse GST/X, ITR)
Give him your CL.......trust me, he'll put you in a REALLY nice nursing home someday

I'm almost embarrassed to say this but, there's a shop over here in Central NJ (Raritan) that is selling a replica GST of The Fast and the Furious Eclipse for $15G. I thought of getting it as a showcar but thought better of it.

Sure it was, couldn't you hear the BOV. There is no way the special effects guys could replicate that sound and dub it in.
