04 Accord turn signal problem

Hey guys,
I know this is an Acura board but i've got a TSX and it sure looks identical to me under the hood. Anyways... all of the sudden the left turn signal stopped working. When i try to put on the left signal nothing comes on, not even the signal on the dash. I swapped the rear with the bulb i knew was good with the other side and i bought a new bulb for the front left. Nothing happened still. I even put on the emergency blinkers and the left side still didn't work. Now... here's the strange thing. When i turn on the lowbeam headlights, both amber sides come on which is really strange. So i know both bulbs are good. I also checked all of the fuses relating to lights. They all look good and connected to me.

Any idea what might be wrong?

I had my turn signals stop working on a car one time right after I washed it, seemed to work after it dried out. Anything similar to this possible?

Well... i washed my car tonight. But the lights haven't been working for a few days. It hasn't been raining outside for a couple of days either. So... strange...

Could be a fuse, flasher or the switch in the column. Does the directional light work with the four way flasher's?

Nope, even when i put the emergency flashers on, only one side works. This is REALLY strange. I disconnected the rear on the right side and the front blinker on that side still works. For the left side it's just completely dead. I switched the left to right in the rear becuase i know that bulb is good and nothing happened, i then switched to a brand new bulb in the front left and nothing happened either.

There isn't specifically a blinker fuse under the hood that i could see. So i basically just pulled all of the fuses that have to do with the lights and i checked them one by one. They all looked good to me.

The flasher(it may have a seperate flasher for each side) would be located in or around the fuse panel inside the car. You should also check the fuse panel inside the car, from what you said I can't tell if you checked that one or just the one under the hood(if that particular car even has a fuse panel inside the car).

You don't have an aftermarket alarm/remote starter installed on the vehicle do you?

Yep,
Also checked every single possible fuse that's inside the car as well that relates to the lights. Everything checks out ok as far as the fuses go.

Around the fuses? there really isn't anything around the fuses. The fuse box itself is surrounded by the interior panels that make up the interior. Are you saying it's possibly the mechanical flasher? Are you sure?
I've never heard of one going out though. My parents have had cars for so long and i've known so many people even with the oldest POS' ever and they haven't had a flasher go out on them.

If you've tried all of the easy things bring it back to the dealership, its still under waranty.

It is uncommon to have a flasher go, but it does happen from time to time.

Update: so i took her into the dealership today. I told themt he fuses were fine and it wasn't the bulbs (but they checked them anyways). The tech can't figure it out. They said they would have to get the shop foreman involved and keep the car overnight. Man... i'm a little scared that this is going to get expensive.

Anyone here have this problem?

Check your ground for the offending corner.... I'm currently having some issues of dimming headlights and dash lights when turn signals flash. I believe I'm dealing with a ground issue.

you guys need to remove the signal switch and clean it up from inside. either that or replace it.

That is what the problem is.

Sorry guys, forgot to update the thread.
The dealer ended up diagnosing it as an electrical problem. They said that one of the modules that controls the turn signals are bad. They replaced it and it works now.

It could be anything, every one on here can just keep saying what it could be and what not. Take the car to a shop and get them to look at it.
