Acura RL Calipers & Fastbrakes Adapter Brackets For 3G TL

Category: Brakes
Price: $300
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): TL 3G
Location (State/Prov/Terr): Can-ON
Item Condition: Used

Hi folks, up for sale is the caliper and adapter portion of an Acura RL BBK which I purchased from Scottyknows007, but have decided to go another route.

This includes 2 clean Acura RL calipers which look to be in excellent shape and not in need of a rebuild any time soon, as well as the Fastbrakes RL adapter:

Fastbrakes Accord,TSX with Acura RL caliper adapter kit

The original for sale thread is located here: https://acurazine.com/forums/car-par...rt-out-929660/

Pictures are included in the original thread as well.

I did not install them, but verified that everything was in excellent condition and extremely clean. It also comes with the Fastbrakes bracket instructions.

I'm looking for 300$ USD plus shipping & paypal fees. I think this is MORE than fair price-wise. I'm located in Toronto so shipping Canada wide is no problem, and of course stateside is no problem as well.

Cheers,
- Victor

Had some interest but no one has pulled the trigger yet, so to the top! Shipping stateside is probably going to range from 40 - 50$ canadian, so with Paypal, we're probably looking at 350$ USD shipped and paypal'd

Unlike the 6MT Brembos, which would require a knuckle and tie rod swap, the RL Advics are radially mounted so they don't require anything other than an adapter bracket.

Not RL rotors, you need 05, 06 350Z Brembo rotors and RL pads (at least those are the rotors needed with Pauls brackets, his are the originals) that is all you need to install them. I had them on my 06 they make a big difference

my

This is a good price (if you really don't need to rebuild the calipers)

Fastbrakes actually says that their brackets use 06 - 11 Nissan Maxima rotors which are 320x28 and shared between many Nissan/Infiniti vehicles, versus the Brembo 350Z rotors which are 324x30 and somewhat more rare.

People have made both work - It's likely that with the 324x30 rotors you would need to add spacers to push out the calipers, which shouldn't be much of an issue.

It would need new brake lines.

Really? I know there were a couple of people couldn't get the brake lines to fit into the caliper.

There was a number of people that bought the wrong stainless lines if I recall, but I've yet to hear that you need new lines. The Accord folks have bolted their regular lines to these calipers for some time now, and as far as I can tell, the fitting for the TL is the same. Worst comes to worst, if they do require new lines, its an excuse to go stainless

I'm on the fence, I might be keeping these to be honest.

They should clear the A-Specs, since they clear the stock 04-06 TL wheels.

Ron, would you kindly close this thread for now? I think I'm going to hang on to these for the time being.

Sorry folks, I will let you know if they do go back up for sale.

Thanks for the reply. Just when I thought seriously about getting it...

It's good you're keeping them. I learn a lot about them in this thread. Sounds like a good way to go for the AT folks for BBK.
