Hello Black Market,


I have finally bit the bullet and am ready to sell the navigation system from my track whore TL. Everything has worked great and the only reason I'm selling it is because it's no longer needed and weight loss is the highest priority for me.


I am selling this as a package, no part out, for $1000 shipped OBO. I'm located in Pensacola, FL but have no problem shipping it to you and will do so the same day I receive payment.

This is what I'm including in the package:

Navigation Screen with code
Radio Unit with code
Antenna
Sub-Display thing
Drive Unit with newer 3.8v Nav Disk
Drive Unit Bracket
Bolts/screws for all above.

I can also include the voice command steering wheel buttons if you want them.

The only thing that isn't included is obviously the wiring harness and the homelink system from the overhead console, I have already sold this.

dude that Table is baller. What block is that? V12? Sorry to go off topic, I like that idea for a table. If my girl would let me get away with it I would make all the furniture out of car parts!

 

It's a Jag V12. I have the flywheel and Crank as a floor lamp too btw.

 

The wire harness can be had via "martin" from nj.. I can look later for his contact info if some one cant find it. I believe he sells his whole kit for 1700+ through ebay, so this is a good deal for anyone else trying the conversion. GLWS

Thanks for the info! I'm pretty sure the DIY conversion has really been ironed out with that easy harness too! Its totally worth the cost and increases your resale value too!

Few questions... I have seen an oem reverse camera... Is the 04 Nav capable of supporting the oem reverse camera? Or is that for only certain years? Second homelink? Ate you talking about the Bluetooth module? Pardon my ignorance ... Thank you

 

As I understand it, the backup camera is only doable with the Dom's TVandNav2go unit. So it can be done but not just through oem parts.


Yes I think the homelink and bluetooth module is the same thing and can be found on ebay. Don't worry, I'm not expert in this area either.

with the harness listed, you have a complete oem navi for more than half the cost from the dealer. Spend around 1,300 and increase your car value by 3-4 k. The navi conversion is hands down the best mod I have done.

If I purchase your set up with the steering wheel controls and the wire harness from ebay, is there anything else I need for the instal?

 

from what I can see i think just the upper vent. Im 90% sure it will still function w/o it. It has a display on it that shows temps for when ac is on,time clock etc. vill0 uninstalled it and i doubt he cut or damaged anything while doing so.(it doesnt look like it). Also any one buying this can sell this or there original radio unit for roughly 50-100 bucks, which may be the same price they can get upper vent for.. lilsid go for it!!!.. the TL has one of the best navi systems i have seen. now that im thinking about it, vill0 didnt you fab a custom gauge pod over your vent, maybe you can throw it in for your original price of 1k which was already a steal. GLWS!!

 

Yeah I don't have the vent anymore, I used it to make the gauge pod. Oops, Sorry Guys!

But like my pal said above, selling your stock radio would cover the vent I'm sure.

maybe if the car was brand new the value would be 3-4k more. Used, as much as you got the navi for.

At this point I would recommend sleBay..if u wanted to make a little investment buy the harness and then you can pretty much sell as a complete kit.. They go on eBay for 1600+. It's. Either everyone has done the conversion or they just not going to. This is a great deal and I'm not sure on how much but this will def bring the value of the car up..

 

It brings the value of the car up 1,000.00 (unlike what the eBay kit claims). Thats according to NADA on an 06. The 04-05 it adds about 900.00 to the value. Not a bad price but maybe consider bringing it down a 100.00 as i got all that for my conversion for abour 750.00 on ebay from LKQ.

By the way that table is the shit!!! It reminds me of top gear! I have been looking for a v12 block to do this as well!

 

oh for sure it brings the value up. But now that the car is getting cheaper and more and more guys are figuring out pretty sweet custom setups, it's not that great of a product for that price. It is OEM, so if that's what you want and need, then it's good. But to just upgrade the system, there is better ways about I think.

 

hey i just saw one on ebay from LKQ for $550 but doesnt bring the clock display, but it does bring the dvd unit. yet i dont think the clock display is alot i found on a while ago for $159 shipped. yet i cant find the link. well i was going to do the ipad mod but stopped due to money yet its a better investment, but i think i might sell the car and to sell would like this to make a little more value.

 

Well I for one never buy anything with a great deal of confidence from ebay so there's a lot more risk involved that you don't when buying from someone in our community . I used the navigation right up until I removed and its sure to work great for anyone. You just can't say you trust eBay as much as a fellow AZ member.
