Took a trip to the Museum today!

Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird :

I swear I couldn't have enough of this thing, it's VERY impressive in person!

Way ahead of its time..

In the early 60's there was a small fire at the Skunkworks, the local fire department showed up and saw an SR-71 prototype with smoke surrounding it.. a few were more than justified in thinking it was alien technology

The SR-71 always amazed me as a kid. I was lucky enough to see a demonstration of one at an airshow at Wright Patterson AFB. The pilot flew very low to the ground at an incredible speed over the runway. I'll never forget it.

Nice pics, the SR-71 was without doubt one of the most the most impressive planes of its time. Mach 3 capable and able to fly at 70K+ feet

No none are pano's, I used 15mm Fisheye and 24-105. I walked the entire place once with the fisheye and then again with the 24-105mm.

I think it was about two hours with each lens, maybe a little less the second time around. It was a little over 400 images.

Hey, you pay $12 to park so you might as well walk the whole place multiple times.

That $12 is what the Airport Authority collects.
