Quick I need replacement battery help!

I need help buying an extra battery for my Rebel Xti. I have found this NB-2L - Maha NB2L - 7.4V 570 mAh Lithium Ion Rechargeable Digital Camera Battery. Anyone have some sort of opinion on this battery. Should I stick with the original battery from Canon or is this one pretty good? I'm looking to order it right away, but I would like to get opinions first before getting it.

Sterlingtek makes great batteries, I have 3 of them.

Here's a set of two 1200mAh NB-2L's for $25: http://cgi.ebay.ca/2-PACK-1200mAh-NB...QQcmdZViewItem

Wow that is a pretty good deal. So you have 3 three of them and you have had no problems with them? Do they hold their charge pretty well? For the price I may just have to give it a try.

They last forever compared to the OEM batteries. The originals in your case are like 570mAh and these are 1200mAh so you can expect about double the number of shots with a single battery. I shot 500 frames at Mosport with a single battery and it was just showing half full at that point. With three batteries, I can shoot 500 frames a day for a week!

They're cheap, but they're also good quality. I've never heard anything bad about SterlingTek...

I just got a pair off your link. I searched for it over to ebay.com as I don't know how my account works at ebay.ca. Either way, it was there on both sites. Thanks alot Dan.

They run twice as long and you can get 4 for the price of one original Canon battery. It's hard to go wrong with that combo.

The SterlingTek NB-2L and NB-2LH are probably the same, but go with the NB-2LH just to be sure.

I got a pair of NB-2Ls. I didn't know they had the NB-2LH. I wish I had known before getting them. The NB-2L still works anyway but I hope it's not bad to use it instead of NB-2LH.

I don't think there's any difference between the L and the LH. I think the LH is just a designation found on canon batteries sold in foreign markets.

I hope so. It's just that for my XTi Canon says it uses LH.

that site says the L is guaranteed to work with the XT so I don't think you'll have any trouble with them.

I bought a couple of batteries from Sterlingtek for the 30D. Unfortunately, they got a bad batch in and they get stuck in the camera. I need to send them back for replacement.

I finally tested the boundries of one charge of my SterlingTek BP-511A's and I managed to get 1158 frames on a single charge (one battery) over a couple weeks of casual shooting. Highly recommended.

although I don't stare too long. I usually just take a peek at the histogram every now and then.

As a side note, the standard Canon battery doesn't do so bad, either. On a weekend of shooting over 500 shots (jpeg), some with flash, constant on and off, with image review and viewing, and transfering about 2GB to PC through the camera the battery indicator never changed (still showed full).

I just got mine in yesterday and called CS because they were labeled 1500 maH NB-2L not 2LH. They said it was the same battery and will work fine. So far they seem too.

Sterklingtek is making good on their products. I returned my two defective batteries last week - they were delivered on Friday. The new shipment of batteries just came in and they are going to priority overnight the new batteries so I get them tomorrow before going out of town. FYI - I paid for overnight shipping on the original order, so I don't know that they would generally ship FedEx priority for exchanges.
