not very efficient with the software yet, you'd probably laugh if you knew how I do it. and in my minds eye the W and the Z are closer together with the & overlapping the two letters, but I have been lazy about fine tuning it. I should learn the proper way soon, just been working alot lately.

Not done as in no more NIN... just going to be on hiatus for a bit. That's what I was told from his tour manager a while back.

What I like Rubin, is how no matter what the subject of the pic, you always manage to squeeze a hottie in there.

stogie, looks great!

Rubin, thanks! Regarding your club pic, I'd say thats a bad picture since the subject(s) is out of focus.

subjective obviously, but I don't think you are thinking outside of the box - there's no rule that a person in a photo must be in focus - the way I see it, the subject of that photo is the sparkler - I would say the strongest part of it as the little explosion all the way at the top edge. If the girl was in focus and the sparkles not, I don't believe it would be as strong a photo.

BUT thanks for your feedback.

You are correct. The burst at the top os simply amazing, and that you captured it on 'film', doubly amazing.

My desire for her to be in focus was purely selfish!

well, I don't think its a question of correct or incorrect, I just think there should never be a "box" which all of your pictures fit into. If anything, I WANT to do more pictures like that, 99% of my photos are sharp, clear, defined. I want to do more abstract sh*t. It takes extra effort because that's not what apparently comes to my eye. DOF is a powerful thing and add a whole different dimension to a photos.

My bad Rubin. My comment was actually sarcastic. The "subjects" I was referring to were the boobs. Haha you should know that by now! I think the picture is sick. Great capture.

btw did you see the "focus fail?" picture on my flickr? it would be really funny and weird if you haven't, its about pretty much the same thing you are talking about here. its even the same girl, and from the same night.

Guns and tobacco... nice
At first I thought the lens flare worked, but the more I looked at it, the more I thought it was a little too intrusive. I like it, though!

Thanks! Tree leaves of various colors and in variable light + shutter drag + arcing motion + major WB adjustment + curves, clarity, levels, etc.

I did think yours was a pano - it's beautiful either way!
