www.dtowntv.com had a good tip this week for freestyle. They talk about adjusting your feet as you shoot, take a few shots and turn into your shot by adjusting your feet instead of twisting your body, it helps get rid of the bowtie effect with shooting freestyle pano's.

thanks...i shot this in a horizontal angle with my 10-22

For as close as you were, I think verts with a 10-22 mighthave been too much for this one. But for a UWA lens it will keep any fringing or distortion of the lens at the top and bottom, keeping it away from the subject.

so far all of my pano's have been shot with my 10-22 and all horizontal...i'll have to try verts...it'll probably give me more room for cropping

Great stuff in here. The storm cloud shots by everyone are awesome.
Audi, that second one looks like a great entry for the current contest.
I finally read the Photomatix tutorial and got a couple of shots processed. I'll spring for the full version when I get home so I can get rid of the water marks.

These were hand held and I still need to clean up a bunch of sensor dust.

that's a tough original to work from and you did it well -

I genrerally don't like the cartoony look most people do with HDR but it works well here. I think the subject and scene goes well with the effect. It looks like something you'd see in a Roger Rabbit movie.

Thanks. I like to do a range of stuff with my HDR's. I like enhancing the color and just making pictures "pop". I also like going with an outrageous picture that looks like it was painted. As long as the results are pleasing to my eye, then I am happy.

haven't had much time lately... the funny thing is... I'm in Vancouver AGAIN... I took this one about an hour ago... maybe tomorrow I'll find some time to go shoot.. (the tallest building to the right is where our condo's at)

Damn nice images here.
drigo - how many exposures do you take for most of your HDRs? Most of the time I'm shooting hand-held so getting more than 3 is impractical, but yours cover such a huge range that I'm guessing you take at least 5?

He uses the same technique I do I believe (if memory serves correctly). He takes one RAW image and uses his camera software to create multiple exposures. The downside is it can create more noise from what I have read, but you can take pictures handheld without a problem.
