i feel very similarly. can't wait to do some serious HDR's of the Taj Mahal. will be seeing it for the first time in about 3 wks.
here's one from a couple days ago, at the Chicago Cultural Center. not perfect but a good exercise. it's 3-shots vertical panoramic with the 6.5mm

Have a question for you more experienced HDR'ers.
Just got from Paris and practiced a bit with gathering pics and processing for HDR's. A few are in the thread I created, but this particular one (and a couple others) aren't that I had a little....uh, issue with?
Take this picture for instance.
After processing it left that flat spot(s) in the clouds. Is that a hot spot where everything just got washed out after processing the three together. IIRC, it was a pretty bright area on the individuals. Is there a way to avoid that either from the picture or processing standpoint?

I think so.
At least on one of the other pics.
The other pic I tried it on, I believe it got rid of the couple of flat spots but gave the rest of the image a less desirable look. Maybe I just need to play around with the settings more. I'm still an HDR .
