Some of you may have heard about all the flooding currently happening in the Midwest. Here are a few shots I took while downtown on our Riverfront today. Currently, the Mississippi River is 37 ft above flood stage. The area is built for flooding, so not much business is being lost. Well, at least in this area. More rural areas are affected a lot more.

How far is the river up the Arch steps? I wonder if Fair St. Louis will be screwed up.

 

The water comes almost halfway up the steps. From what I hear, they moved the fair away from the Arch Grounds because of the flooding. I believe it's going to be near Soldier's Memorial now.

I hope all this water doesn't make its way down to New Orleans. I'm heading there on Friday and will be there till next Wednesday.
