For the web this is a perfect size and depending on a camera you'll get good pictures indoors and outdoors, but if you were to print the on a photo paper the quality would me much worst than the real film camera... I have a Sony Digital video camera that can also take 640x480 photos... and the quality is not that great...

...So I should take my pictures with 2048 x 1536 and resize...
Only if you want to be able to print them later... otherwise 640x480 is fine for the web...

I believe you should have 1024x768 at least to get a decent 4" printed photo.

I have a Kodak DC4800. This baby is AWESOME and is pretty good for both beginner's and experts. Just go to http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumList?u=1465786 to view sample pics. Oh BTW, since I bought my camera, Kodak came out with a $100 rebate. And I asked the store where I bought it from for an "adjusted" receipt so that I can get in on the rebate. Apparently they had a mixup and thought that receipt was for a new order so I got TWO cameras now.

Looks like I'll be getting the Fuji Finepix 1300 as well. I looked around and the only other camera that I compared it to was the Olumpyus 360. They were very similar in price in all of the stores around $250. If I didn't have to use the camera this Saturday I would get it online and save $50 bucks, oh well. Also getting the 64mb card for it as well.

One question though, when you finish up the memory card, can you delete it? or do u have to get a whole new one?

Can you delete files from your computer... or do you need to get a new one?
Of course you delete files from the card once you put it on your hard drive.

Well I hope you like your camera grishulia. I kinda wish I had gotten a better camera...don't get me wrong, the FP1300 is a great digicam (check out all the pics I've posted ), its just that theres always going to be something bigger and better! I didn't need to spend more than $300 on a camera though, I'm actually surprised that I only spent $315... I would have had no control if it had been something for the car! Just look at my mods list.

Thanks guys. I really love my new Digi cam. It's fun as hell to play with. I'll post some pics after HIN.

Thanks Nate & Grish and all the other guys for your advice.
