I have a bunch of picture on my olympus 3030 digi cam, but i had to erase my hard drive like a month ago and lost the camedia software i used to use to get pictures off, and i lost the cd. my kazaa isnt working so i cant get it from there, does anyone know a place where i can download the software online for free, or any software that will let me get pictures off my camera?

they only let you download the upgrades for free, you have to pay for the sofware which i dont feel like doing twice.

 

That sucks ass....sorry to mislead. I have an older model and I was able to get the software for free about a year ago....money grubbers charge now. Try searching out on Google...some has to offer it.

 

If you hookup your camera to your computer and turn the camera on, does it show up as a "Removable Disk" in Explorer? If it does, just navigate into it that way, and drag the files into your HD.

If you have Win2000 or XP, it will automatically detect the camera and mount it as a Removable Disk. If you have 98, you should be able to get a driver that enables this... I think Windows will prompt you to download it... not 100% sure on that though.
