camera-friendly gloves

So what do you all use to keep your fingers toasty while shooting in cold weather? There are, of course, a ton of half-finger and/or half-mitten items available. The problem with these is that they still leave the ends of your fingers exposed when you're actually operating the camera controls.

I'm curious if anyone has found any sort of gloves that keep the ends of your fingers covered but still provide enough tactile feedback and grip to operate camera controls. These would probably have to be worn underneath more heavily insulated half-mittens or some other "shell". I've tried a couple of different types of mechanic style gloves but they both ended up not providing enough grip after the fingers achieved their normal state of wear.

Link didn't work for me. Regardless, UA looks like they have a variety of gloves that may fit the bill. I had completely forgot about them. I tried to find Nike's receiver gloves a few years ago and was never able to locate them locally. Maybe I'll have more luck with UA now that they've become the Starbucks of the sporting goods world.

I use Hatch NS430 shooting gloves. I couldn't get soopa's link to work but probably about the same in a neoprene glove. I needed a 'second skin' type of glove while shooting (firearms) in the winter time and these work well.

Good question. I'm endlessly in search of gloves that will allow me to manipulate needles and syringes in the sub-freezing temperatures. There's nothing I hate more than having to doff the gloves and stick my hands in water to clean & suture wounds in the winter time. (Is there a whining smilie? )Of course something like these gloves won't fix that, but they'd help with other day to day things. I'll check out the UA to wear under my hybrid mitten/half finger gloves.

the link was to their tactical gloves. i imagine any tactical/shooting glove would would well with a camera as they usually put focus on the feel of the thumb and trigger finger.

Cool idea. I'm going to need some new gloves this year and tactical gloves should work nicely.

Just saw these on gizmodo, and was reminded of you people that don't live in the desert.

I just wear lined, leather, winter driving gloves when shooting. I can still use all of the buttons and dials on the camera without any probs. Guys' gloves might be a little bulkier though. Truth-be-told, there really aren't ANY gloves that keep my hands warm enough in cold weather.

These look like they'd work well.

Design to be used with the iPod's click-wheel, so I imagine they'd work well with a camera.
