well the thing is, this is not a typical printer you would see in a 'bundle' package - this is higher-end. I mean *most* people these days would not spend $500 on a printer. And I think when people research this printer they will find many reviews talking about the cost of ink and general operating cost. And, I'd guess this printer didn't sell very well. And, that's probably why it's being discounted as it is.

hmm that seems to be a really good printer! it's "large format" prints up to 13" x 19". and a great deal at $138.
I totally agree with you that it's an excellent printer! But you have to understand how SATURATED craigslist was with these printers. It was like a never ending listing of them. Just a search for Canon Pixma in my area yields this: http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/s...inAsk=&maxAsk=

As you can see, it was SOOO tough to sell it so I had to price it pretty low. I don't regret selling it because I don't ever print photos. When I do, I go to Costco, and that's like 3 times a year.

almost lost my Sigma 50 last night - I mean I left the club without it - I noticed it missing from my bag somehow as I was walking - but then I'm like, I have no clue where I may have put it - I'm pretty good about keeping things with me or in a safe place these days - and the evidence only pointed to one difference last night compared to other nights - I had stopped for a drink at the restaurant downstairs - and that's where I somehow managed to leave the lens at the table (still don't know how, I mean, it's not exactly hard to miss) - thankfully the managers and security knew exactly why I had come back when they saw me. :phew:

I know it's a pretty niche/"specialty" lens, but if any of you DX Nikon-ites are looking for a fisheye.....

Just ordered a bunch of strobe related items. I've been wanting some for a while and have a need for them finally. I got AB800s, octoboxes, stands, cyber commander, receivers and a few other accessories.

On an unrelated note, getting vision correction done on Thursday, can't frikin wait to look through a viewfinder without glasses on!!!!

I do 2-3 week processing time depending on how busy I am. Usually only takes me a week but I like to overestimate just in case.

Really? Wow the idiot photog that did my cousin's wedding said 6 month which took 9 months and some of it came out blurry from what they said. They were more impressed with my photos. I did less editing but I gave it to them within a week or so.

I cheat though, I put my photos in A LOT of different groups in Flickr thus getting more exposure, also a big chunk comes from pixel-peeper.com and "unknown source" which drives me nuts not knowing who they are

um, that's not 'cheating' - that's using flickr how it's supposed to be used - no problem - and remember just because you add a photo to a group doesn't mean it's *going* to get more views - it still needs to be a good photo in order for people to click on it - congrats btw nice count.

I agree. I would not consider that cheating. That's like saying Pepsi cheats because they produce more ads through more mediums than Coca Cola.

It's good that you share in a lot of places because a great photo is horrible if no one sees it

I think I'll start looking at other groups too to share my photos.

So I bought the Canon 135mm because it had one of the best reviews around. Shot with it and it is the most difficult lens to work with on a crop body. Don't get me wrong, the lens performs extremely well. But on a crop body there's just absolutely no space for me to work with. I can't shoot unless I'm in an open field and getting the right composition is just too hard. If I ever go full frame the 135mm will definitely be in my bag.

The good thing is I bought it for $725 on Fred Miranda and sold it for $775 on Craigslist

@ 216mm on a crop sensor, it is very hard. But the optics are well worth the extra work. Imo. Unless I go with a 70-200 f/2.8 I wont sell this lens

Yea I felt pretty bad selling it today because I got it for so cheap in the great condition that it was in. I mean, the body and glass were in excellent condition and there were absolutely no front and rear focus problems. But in the end it made no sense to leave it around and only use it 1-2 times a month at best.
