We had a good storm up here. I wasn't home until the end of it so I missed some fantastic lightning. I got some of the last few flashes. I would love to chase a storm like this and get some actually good shots.

I've now realized that Ive been sucked into a hole of almost exclusively shooting water pictures recently. Effective immediately I will be putting a stop to this. With that said, here are the recent water shots

I got home today to find this lil guy sitting on the chair of our patio set. I got close and he didn't move so a photo shoot ensued. Pretty sure its a baby mocking bird. Here's one shot.

Thanks! I really like that one too, had to cross over this cascade, then started hiking down trying to find something that no one else had at this place, I found this tight little area and got that shot.

....lost my sunglasses in the process too

Hottie. I like the first one - great mix of colors. I wish the DOF was a little deeper though.

A pic I took last night of the Black Widow that has pretty much taken over my porch...lol. I've seen a lot of these in while in NC & CA, and this might be the biggest.

Below are pictures I took at the Honda Museum. Please feel free to provide comments and suggestions about how I could have improved the taking of the shots or any of the post processing I did.

I added a watermark and simple border that I created in illustrator as I'm not good with Photoshop. I'm hoping to use that border and watermark combo on all my pictures, would love to hear feedback from you guys as to what you think about it (is it too much, too simple, etc). In case you're wondering, the little sine wave with the line through it are my initials and if the logo is flipped around, it's exactly the same.

Thanks! they were about 30 miles apart. After the sunrise I headed north to where the lupines were, then had to wait for the for to burn off a bit too.
