There's a forester that autocrosses with my club. It's pretty quick and the driver is good too. I asked him what he had done to it and the answer was "everything" lol

ha, I did a moon shot tonight too -
100% crop (click http://www.flickr.com/photos/delobbo/6027778835/sizes/o/in/photostream/ to view it at 100%), 7D + 200mm + 1.4x extender, halo'ing provided by clouds.

^^ thanks, I think the toughest thing about moon shots is focus, I had tried as tight as f/11 before but for this one I went f/22 and I think that helped a lot. there's noticeable noise in the halo area, because I did some brightening in PP and sharpening / enhancing. I think if I was going serious with this shot I would do some NR on that area to get rid of the noise there (but leave the detail in the moon).

^^ oh two more things I did for the first time on this moon shot: 1) manual focus using live view with the maximum zoom setting and 2) set the self-timer for 10 seconds, stabilized the camera on the tripod as much as I could, and then hit the shutter - the 10 sec is long enough for the camera to completely stop moving. I think that helped a lot also, for sharpness.

Nice. I like shooting the moon. The first time I tried I was not that familiar with the manual settings which is a MUST to get anything more then a bright dot. I don't have a great zoom, so the quality is usually not great for me clarity wise. What I do however is set the camera on the tripod, adjust the settings and step back and use the $3 IR remote I bought on ebay for my camera. Works great.

Living the Dream
A view from Château de Chillon in Montreux, Switzerland.
For all the pics I took while in Switzerland, none are really my favorite. Which is really disappointing. There are several that I like, just none that give me that "ooh that's nice" reaction.
Camera (Rebel XT) is getting on in years and it was choosing the oddest things to auto-focus on, oh well.

Nice Ferrari shot - the sound of one Ferrari is sweet - I couldn't imaging a whole fleet of them.
I got to drive a Modena 360 this weekend - it was a short drive, but still fun nonetheless. I was so excited about the drive/ride I forgot to take pics.

I also snapped this pic of my daughter eyeing the pool in her dress. My niece got married and my daughter was a flower girl.

I used to, when I was a kid... :-/ now I get annoyed lol... sorta
how nice of you to say, I just really liked the kid's expression. and it was just luck, I just put the 200mm on and was firing into the crowd trying to compose some shots. I didn't even see the kid in the pic until I got home
