Yeah no just the conflict te economy has been hitting every hard. The only way to get this done is for everyone to contribute to it. I'm going to go visit roger soon and get some more info on what he has done already for acurafest 2. I'll keep u guys updated.

I would not count Roger out either I know there is work going on behind the scene and heard from him that a sponsor from last year is wanting to Sponsor BIG, Those that just jabber and are interested to really do it large this year should take part in the Reno of Acura gathering so we can really gain ACURA support. I know that is part of the reason for the run next weekend to Reno is to gain more support for Acurafest as the ownership of Acura of Reno has dealerships in Nor Cal

Simply stated the more support we get from Acura dealers translates into sposorship and gaining the attention of Acura, How awesome would it be to have ACURA factory support. Have Acura show up with a concept vehicle or two. It was impressive to have Fresno Acura last year and to have more dealer support and Acura recognition just adds to the magnitude of Acurafest, Last year with Heeltoe, ATLP and other vendors how cool would it be to have RonJon or America Tire other vendors jump on board.

it would be amazing to have Acura come in as a Sponsor, with the mega national meet in Kansas, im sure these big meets have their attention.
Fresno Acura now carries Ron Jon, that may be our door to another premium sponsor.
what about Auto Enhancement on Blackstone? im sure he would love to set up a booth. isnt the owner an older Armenian guy? Armenian=money

Next year, how about Redding CA as long as it isn't the summer? Accessible by all off I-5 and see if we can get Butler in OR. to kick in and Niello in Sac? I can imagine a couple hundred Acura's hitting the street around here would be quite a sight.

WOOHHOOOO! Temp Acurafest page is up.... Like others have noted... MAJOR behind the scene work has been going on. HINT... all the legal stuff.
Just got back from the Reno of ACURA show. Nice show, but def, not Acurafest, maybe 40-50 cars, but only 3 TL's & a few integras... WTF!
Actually met the owner, who claims to have owned the first ever Acura Dealership in North America. He is responsible for the first Acura ever sold! Pretty huge in my book.
Now for the fun stuff. Ball will be moving quickly now guys. Stay tuned.

Alright, Roger. If no one around SB gets anything done with Gold Coast in the next 2 weeks, we gotta go with the sure thing in Fresno.
I'm not doing the leg work, and neither is anyone else, so no one can complain.
Yes, the drive sucked, but the caravan was straight money.
It was well planned last year, and I don't see any reason why it can't be better this year.

At this rate, there wont be a meet this year. Lets face it, we should just make this the start of the planning for Acurazine's All California Meet 2011 That way it will happen.

i will be busy starting EMT school and looking for a place to move when this happens.
why dont we share some info instead of keeping it all on wraps.
im local and i dont know anything. i have to go to meets which im too busy or too broke to attend to stay in the loop.
i do feel at this rate we need to pull a surprise out of someones ass to have a big meet like last year. at least last year everyone was butting heads and sharing ideas.
i just dont see that this year, and last year at this time, the meet was less than a month away and we had multiple 20+ page threads

PATIENCE my friends. Acurafest meet this Friday. ATLP MIKE is coming down to meet with us. I know it seems like last minute, but for this event we are shooting for something a lil more "show" like. Same people exhibits & fun, think FESTIVAL + CARSHOW. We want to separate the cars who wish to enter to compete for the awards from the spectator cars. I do agree that this meet has been hard to plan due to some sponsors holding their wallets a little tighter than usual, but it is still coming together nicely.
I want everyone to know that I "personally hate to over-promise & under-deliver" which is the reason I have been quiet until things get 100% confirmed.
I think part of the reason we held the event back for end of summer is that we hated the heat from last year...... but now we are having GREAT weather & it makes us want ACURAFEST NOW! LOL

im with you on the thread date/people posting..seems like nobody knows about it. we need a new thread with the date/time set so people can actually plan around this
