JUST AS A HEADS UP... which most of you already know.
Acurazine has sanctioned a National Acurazine Meet in June in Kansas City. It's spearheaded by Stephen Bell(great guy) at Jay Wolfe Acura.
Can some say...... "Lets show'em what the west coast A-ZINE BOYS can do!"

3,252 miles round trip for me. If I average 25mpg, that's 130 gallons of gas, total.
In the Summer time, gas prices always go up due to travel.
Let's put the gas per gallon at $3.25, to be conservative (for California) and have round numbers.
130 x 3.25=$422.50, in gas alone. That's if I don't eat anything, or get a place to shack up for a night or two.
Also, I'm guessing just the time on the road to/from the meet will be around 40 hours.

IMO SB would be a great choice.. I didnt get to make it last Afest cuz i was still doing some work to my TL am still workin on it but its driveable. lol Anyways SB is cool cuz if it were to get hot its all good cuz the beach is like not to far at alll.. lol.. Last week i went to pick up my freind in SB and it was a little hot but the cool breezz made it all good.. The harbor looked really cool when i passed by but idk how big the parking is cuz i know you guys want to do it big... But am pretty sure there will be a spot that will fit the needs of Afest... Ive been up north by earlymart and delano but the heat almost toook me out it was EXTREMELY WAY TO HOT.... lol.. i live in SM bout 45 mins away from SB and over here in the coast it really never gets that hot as up north.. lol.. it does get hot but its not an every day heatwave like up north...

AHA... all great points, but are YOU up to putting in roughly 4-6 hours a week IN SB seeking out & selling sponsorships to local businesses & Dealerships? Talking to SB parks & recreation to legally sanction & pay for a good meet spot. Worrying about food prep & transportation.

It sounds reallly awsome if i were to be a part of the planning for the 2010 acurafest.. An i do got love for the game but as going to SB i only go there every once in a blue moon.. lol.. but honestly idk there was soo much involed to set up an event.... the times that ive been there ive seen kool places to have the Afest there but honestly i just thought people showed up to a spot and set everything up.. As far as paying for a place i wouldnt be able to do that beacuse of the limited income i got right now..
Alright, Roger. If no one around SB gets anything done with Gold Coast in the next 2 weeks, we gotta go with the sure thing in Fresno.
I'm not doing the leg work, and neither is anyone else, so no one can complain.
Yes, the drive sucked, but the caravan was straight money.
It was well planned last year, and I don't see any reason why it can't be better this year.
Like we talked about, if you need anything from me, holla.

Well, the dates are not up on the air for our choosing. We want a 3 day weekend, that way our attendees won't worry about rushing back on Sunday. But it all depends on our venue & if they are available for those dates. Labor Day Weekend & Columbus Day Weekend have been lingering in our acura laden brains.
