What do you guys think of this as a first mod?

I keep moaning about connecting my iPod in my car. I just saw a thread on TOV about connecting this device to a non-nav Accord to provide input for....iPod or MP3 player. Here's the link to the thread on TOV...link

and the link for the device itself...link.

It's also compatible with the TSX (this IS a TSX site after all...) and, with some modification, with navi models.

Has anyone tried this with their Accord or TSX? What's the sound quality like? Because my TL is so new, I may have the dealer do it. It'll cost more, but at least they'll warrant the work.

Yes people have done this with their Accord and TSX, including members on this site.

There's also a great FAQ and detailed instructions on how to do it in the Audio and Electronics section of this site. Check out this link...

Funny. I just got my SNHOND3 today from UPS.

I'll be installing over the weekend! YAY! I might need a GLI.

At the same time, I'll be looking at the circuit boards to determine what LEDs I need to replace those ugly green ones.

Did BlitzSafe never develop a adapter?

Are you sure that adapter will work for the TL?

and are you sure the Dealership will warranty the work?

You would think that someone would make a casette adapter that has a smart media slot or something similar for playing MP3's directly from the memory card.

For now just use a Cassette Adapter for your TL

Ya Acura_driver, as soon as I read elbodude's post, I thought of that player

You can actually take it and insert it into the cassette deck, Crazy SH!T

I used to have a Talon TSi AWD, the stock audio system had an AUX input with a mini-jack on the front of the head unit. What a novel idea. Too bad the TSX/TL don't have one.

Thank you very much for the link! The wiring stuff doesn't look too onerous. The only issue I have is removing the center console and all that. That was a major hassle on the 2002 and I expect it'd be the same on the 2004, hence having the dealer do it.

There's no "aux" button on the TL navi unit, but I'm pretty sure that pressing twice on the "CD" button will give me joy.
