What about them? They got left behind because they didn't want to adapt to the new landscape of smartphones and didn't want to get in on the digital camera revolution.
I did you read an article saying Ford isn't making an EV F150? Because I read that they are. And, if they are, it will eat the cybertruck for lunch just because of the badge on the hood.

Doug Demuro’s laughable review of Hummer EV
It was funny where this guy mentioned current Doug to listen to the Doug from eight months ago. .
But but the Cybertruck doesn’t exist, right.

Cybertruck does, in fact, not exist. It's not road legal in its current incarnation.

I don't care what you guys say, it's not real at this point. It's no different than a glorified kit car lol. Doesn't even have real plates, it's wearing mfr prototype plates lol.

Meanwhile here's Nikola's factory progress almost 4 months after their groundbreaking ceremony on 6/23
It's hilarious watch these videos updates each one looks the same for the past few months it just been a few vehicles riding around spraying water. Trevor said the factory would be built in a year and the guy running the construction project said I'm going to try and have it done in 6 months, everyone cheered and their stock went up.

Tesla suggests leasing a current model while you wait until at least 2022 for your Cybertruck.
Tesla has a habit of pulling out all the stops at the end of each quarter to assure that it can meet its aggressive production and delivery goals. This is perhaps more true than ever as the end Q4 2020 and the end of the year are quickly approaching.According to an article on Electrek, Tesla Cybertruck reservation holders have received an email from Tesla suggesting that they lease another model while they wait for their Cybertruck. According to details in the email, it looks like the earliest Cybertrucks won't be delivered until 2022. Previously, it seemed the Cybertruck would arrive in 2021, but that's just the start of production.
For people waiting for the single-motor Cybertruck, leasing another Tesla now could time out well since that model isn't expected before 2023. However, many Cybertruck reservation holders already own a Tesla. In addition, leases would overlap with earlier Cybertruck deliveries.
Tesla has been taking $100 deposits for the Cybertruck for many months. As far as we understand, the electric automaker has a plethora of these "pre-orders," to the tune of 650,000 or more. This means the company has contact information for a long list of folks who are waiting for a Tesla. While it may seem pushy for the company to reach out to them, this is not uncommon in the industry. Companies put together huge contact lists for a reason, and Tesla is trying to use this to its advantage as the end of the year draws near.

Ramblings of some demented Detroit experts about future of EV trucks. They are so disconnected with the reality and emerging trends. The CyberTruckGuy shows them where they got it all wrong.

What is it with tesla people and trumpanzees with their random youtube videos to show how/why their bias is correct?

The Steel Dynamics plant, which is just 170 miles from the Tesla Giga Texas factory site, is due to launch in fall 2021. According to San Patricio County Judge David Krebs' statement to K3 News, the new plant will supply steel to build Cybertruck.
Steel Dynamics Inc. announced in November 2019 that it would invest up to $1.8 billion to build a plant in the southwestern United States. Sinton, which is located near Tesla's new plant in Texas, was chosen as the site for the construction. Steel Dynamics said the plant will be ready for commissioning by mid-2021, and will be designed to produce 3 million tonnes of steel per year.
Judge Krebs said the new Steel Dynamics plant will supply steel for the coveted electric pickup truck--Cybertruck. According to him, Tesla will use steel from Steel Dynamics and improve upon it with its own technology. “Now some of these other companies who work with STI will actually be taking STI's product and refining it a little bit better we're hearing that one of the companies that were pretty close to probably getting close is a company that's going to be taking STI steel redoing it and that steel will actually be going into the Tesla cars that they're moving in from California to manufacture here,” he said.
Tesla's and SpaceX's Alloy Teams have repeatedly created a variety of alloys that are ideally suited to their needs. During Battery Day, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said his companies have created a variety of materials and alloys that were not available before.
Tesla Cybertruck is an unusual pickup truck. In addition to having incredible characteristics, it also has a unique design. Cybertruck is built with an exterior shell made for ultimate durability and passenger protection. Starting with a nearly impenetrable exoskeleton, every component is designed for superior strength and endurance, from its ultra-hard 30X cold-rolled stainless-steel structural skin to Tesla “armor glass.”

I for one think the cybertruck is a great idea, but the design is just hideous/ridiculous. I mean it truly looks like something a video game designer made back in the original Nintendo days (or the pics of it in Goldeneye lol). It looks like a sterile vehicle you would drop off on a foreign planet or the moon to colonize it or something.
Do people really like this design? Do you really see yourself driving around in this? I can't believe this wasn't just a prototype or a joke. I can't believe people actually think this is a good looking car and are willing to buy one.

I always say to wait until you see vehicles in person before truly judging. I also think looks are completely subjective.
At the same time, I think the Cybertruck is one of the few vehicles that is both subjectively and objectively ugly.
Cult of Tesla is so powerful that the looks don't matter though.

Looks better than the truck does. Won't (read: can't) end up looking like this anyway.

The automation manager was hired a couple of months ago. Now they're hiring the automation engineers. I was asked to apply for a job at Terra Texas with my controls background, but I'm not a PLC engineer. I'm a DCS guy.

A few months ago, there was an article stating that substantial completion of the factory was planned for 1st week of May. So this aligns with everything being said. Right now they seem to be installing equipment along with ongoing construction, presumably to save time.

Cybertruck, like X6 for BMW, is a social experiment and market loyalty test by Tesla.
Goal is to make the most hideous thing possible and see if people will still buy it cuz it has the company badge on it.
