Neuronbob's pix

I just wanted to make my pix easier to find than in the "I've got mine" thread.

Pics page 1

Pics page 2

Thanks for all the replies in that thread, I've gotten a lot exercise running down to the garage to answer them, and I'm happy to show folks the car if they can't get to a dealership for a test drive.

Hey do the side markers blink when you Lock and maybe unlock the car with the fob ?

Also Like someone on TOV mentioned, If it was on brochure and sticker, it was probably planned but parts were delayed...

Is it possible it will come later on? (justin any answer )

Nice pictures. I was probably the loudest critic of the pods over the gauges...after seeing your pictures, I am eating humble pie. It lights up even better than the TSX's display.

LOL@Please don't steal me.

I'm glad you got the joke. That one was for us 99-03 TL owners, Especially those who, unlike me, live in NYC/NJ metro.

I sure as hell hope Acura made these headlights hard to steal, otherwise I'm renting a car when I have to travel to NYC.

Yes, the side markers blink along with the front and rear turn lights when the car is locked and unlocked.

I thought about nighttime pix too, but it's too f**kin cold. That's why all the pix are done in and around my garage, because Cleveland weather sucks this week. I've already had to wash the car once (and I've had it only four days!!!!!) because of the rain.

I replaced my 2002 TL-P (non-S) with the 2004. I am NOT at all sorry I did it because the 2004 is such an improvement over the old car. I also thought I'd pushed my luck with the tranny in the '02, was afraid that it might go any time. I might have been less impressed with the performance if I'd owned a TL-S with navi, and I might not have traded.

Anyway, after four days with the car, I like it even more. The interior is the nicest I've ever experienced, the ride is just what I wanted, the performance is adequate for a FWD car.

Fantastic pictures, thanks. Can't wait for mine

Quick question... in this photo, it looks like the carpeting is a pinkish color. It might just be my computer (or the flash), but what's the deal there? In proper lighting, what color does the carpeting look like? Also, did those floor mats come with the car or did you have to special order?

Not a joke. The side markers only blink when the car is locked or unlocked with the remote, not when you signal.

2004TL--maybe it's your monitor. The floormats are slightly lighter than the rest of the interior, perhaps dark grey.

Larch--I HATED having the e-brake on by the pedals. I love its new location. It doesn't get in my way at all.

Lung--blame the wife for the lack of the third pedal. Even though she will seldom drive my car, if I break my leg or something she might have to. Sigh! I'm also unwilling to teach her how to drive stick on a $35k car.

I think it was just the sun shining on the mats

With the newer acura's the parking lights flash on/off when you unlock the car. That's why they "blink" when you unlock the car.

neuron,

does the new TL turn heads on the street? If so, in a good way or bad way? i.e. the new bmw 7series draws alot of glances but not complimentary ones usually

It turns heads on the street, mostly young heads, and in a positive way. I haven't seen any looks of disgust. While I was driving it for the first time, someone switched through two lanes of traffic on the freeway to look at my car.

I love the car more and more every day!

My bad, I meant 2004AcuraTLFan. You're right, it looks pink on my home computer too. The sun was TRYING to peek out between the rainclouds at just that time.

Neuronbob,

Is it possible to disable the function in the nav that repeats the command after you speak it? I feel like having the computer repeat everything slows the implementation of the commands quite a bit...

I'm sure it's possible, as one can set certain prefs for the nav. I'll look in the navi manual after work and confirm.

For those with Navi on their new TL, can you make a copy of your DVD disc and send it to me? I heard that it works with TSX navi, and it's a newer version with more functions.

Thanks!!!!

Enjoy your new ride!!!!

No can do with the DVD, doesn't Acura update its DVDs on a regular basis? If not, that really sucks.
