I spend 2 much time here
gotta say i've really been enjoying my 2014 C300. it might not be crazy fast or overly sporty. However all around it is a super enjoyable car to drive everyday.
The 2015's look to be even better.

i thought 2014 was only C250 and C350?

i am not sure if there is a 2014 250 model. i have a 300 and i know there is also a 350 with more hp.
i wasn't a fan of the previous year versions because the 300 had even less hp then. but i think in either 2013 or 2014 they bumped it up.
i hope that i like the 4 cylinder in the 2015, that's the only thing i'm concerned with.

2015 Mercedes-AMG C 63 Edition 1
Press release...
The Mercedes-AMG C 63 and C 63 S will also be available as "Edition 1" models from market launch: their extraordinary combination of exclusive design and equipment features has outstanding appeal. There is a choice of six attractive exterior paint finishes: polar white, designo diamond white bright, iridium silver metallic, palladium silver metallic, obsidian black metallic and the AMG-specific finish designo iridium silver magno. The "Edition 1" is available as a Saloon and Estate, and is distinguishable from outside by numerous design highlights:
- 8.5 x 19 and 9.5 x 19 forged wheels in a cross-spoke design, painted in matt black with red-painted rim flange, tyre size 245/35 R 19 (front) and 265/35 R 19 (rear)
- Night package with chrome-plated tailpipe trim elements (A-wing and trim strip in high-gloss black, exterior mirror housings in high-gloss black, side sill panel inserts in high-gloss black, beltline trim strip and window surrounds in high-gloss black, radiator grille with twin louvre in silver chrome, heat-insulating dark-tinted glass from the B-pillar to the rear)
- Spoiler lip in high-gloss black (Saloon only)
- Red highlights (adhesive foil) for radiator grille and exterior mirrors
- Side sports stripes in matt graphite grey (adhesive foil) above the side sill panels
The striking colour scheme is continued in the interior:
- Performance seats, door centre panels and armrests in diamond-pattern black nappa leather with red contrasting topstitching
- Red designo seat belts
-Performance steering wheel fully finished in DINAMICA microfibre with flattened bottom section, red 12-o'clock marking, red contrasting topstitching, steering wheel bezel in silver chrome with "Edition 1" lettering and silver-coloured aluminium shift paddles
- Trim in red pepper carbon fibre / light longitudinal-grain aluminium
- Black floor mats with "AMG" lettering and red piping
The market launch of the C 63 and C 63 S Saloon models will commence in February 2015, with the Estate models following in April.

Someday, an RS6 Avant+
The thing that bugs me about the car is the interior. Why did they not go with a motorized screen like Audi did? I see a lot of the new C class, here next to Sindelfingen. They are quite the popular car, but if you sit in one you would see what I am talking about. It just seems like a tacky "add on".

I have only seen 2 in person
To me the rear looks extremely weird in person. They look so narrow and tiny.
From the rear, the car looks like it belongs to "compact" class.

i do agree that if i had to nitpick this car i would say i like the way the current C class looks from the rear more. i also prefer a nav screen that is built into the dash. with my current C i can turn off the screen and you hardly notice is there. at night it completely disappears. with the bolted on look that the new one has you cant escape that screen in your face it seems.

Easy fix for the squished rear - get the estate

I would honestly take the screen on the dash as it is over a motorized screen. I can just imagine the repair bill when the motor stops working.

Don't get me wrong. I like the body style, and most interior elements. Hell, I can actually buy the estate. That car is bad ass (and better looking than the 3 series, but not the A4 avant). you just have to sit in it or a CLA to understand. That's all I'm saying. Not befitting of a Mercedes.

The C class interior looks much better than CLA.

I didn't hate the CLA interior when I drove it. Definitely a bit low-rent, but it's also not a $120k S550.
Haven't been in a new C yet.

Sit in an A3 and you'll understand. It is a small, less expensive A4, but the quality of the interior is far and away better than the CLA.
I may have mentioned this at one time, but I live 5 minutes from the Sindelfingen Mercedes plant. A lot of my neighbors work there. I see and experience a lot of Mercs here.

i did test drive an A3, has a lot of good things going for it. the only thing i couldn't enjoy was the ride itself. the suspension just felt too bouncy to me. the car didn't feel planted. i get that it is a smaller car but that doesn't mean it cant feel solid and planted.

I'm the Firestarter
I sat in a C400 a couple of days ago. Sales guy said it had every available option and it looked like it: fancy LED headlights, adaptive cruise, AMG package, 19" AMG wheels, real textured dark wood trim. With all the options it came in at CAD $72,000, before taxes. I wanted to see the display lit up to see the graphics, so the guy hands me the fob. I had the fob in hand, and I'm looking for the start button. Where's the start button? The guy says "put the key in the ignition and turn it".
So... fully loaded Mercedes C400, and no keyless ignition? W. T. F. This is table-stakes guys.

is that a Canadian thing?
Keyless start is standard on C400 4matic in the US.
If anything, C400 is very well equipped even in base model. adaptive LED headlight is not even an option on 335i.
Other than backup camera and Navi, most of the other available options for C400 are not even offered by its competitors

The Premium package (standard on the C400, $2700 on the others) includes heated front seats, satellite radio, premium sound, LED lights and keyless start.

Multimedia package, $2690: includes navigation with voice command, rearview camera, Sirius XM traffic and weather, and an 8.4-inch hi-res color screen.
A couple of new packages have migrated right off the S-class order guide: the Airmatic adjustable-suspension package ($1190) and the Air Balance package ($350) that ionizes, filters, and adds fragrance to the cabin air.
There are many individual options as well—some included in packages and some as stand-alone—such as a Panorama sunroof ($1480), head-up display ($990), active parking assist ($970), a rearview camera ($460), and a power trunk closer ($560). The menu goes on; there is also a special-order list that includes rear side airbags ($420), an electric sunblind for the rear window ($440), and manual sunblinds for the rear side windows ($380).
