Kinda reminds me of the Maxima from the side, even though they're on different platforms. But front is much better than the G35's

It's not the controls themselves that jab into the thighs. It's the edge of the puckered thigh support from what I understand. I'm not sure exactly because I don't have an Infiniti - I'm just relaying what I've read.

i see, broke

either way....no design is gonna be perfect and appeal/accommodate all people
that's why there's about 50 different car manufacturers

i personally like the seat controls on the new infiniti's.....for me it works well, is easy to use and convenient, but i could see how for some people it wouldn't be ideal

Yeah. I would have liked them on the door better too.

I like the rear lamp treat better on the Fuga than M... it's sleeker.

So...How bout that RL?

Seriously, The new M is a hot car, except for the white part of the tail lights, imho..I was planning on getting one when my lease is up, but I can't wait another 5 months for it to come, so I'm going to have to compromise and get something else...Still trying to figure out what though..

I think that was their strategy the whole time. Infiniti and Lexus were probably waiting to see if Acura would release details first...and then match it feature for feature, or better yet, up the ante.

I'd say that Nissan was more afraid of poor sales with the current M45 then anything, so a completely redesigned M was in order.

The current M45 is a place holder, brought here to begin the marketing of the future car and nothing more(simply a rebadged car that has been sold in Japan for years). Funny thing is it sells more than the current gs430. Best part about the current M is it can be had for 40k and offers more than you'll find in most 50k cars.

As far as new cars, that has yet to be seen, but I don't see the new RL or GS being close to perfect by any means. Think it might come down to Lexus being on top due to refinement.

Can anyone tell me when these cars are coming out and the curb weight? I looked, but couldn't find this information. My dad is going to buy a new car to replace his A8 in the future and I suggested this car for him.

Hotness, but i do agree about the tail.

My parents are looking to get a new car in this range and they weren't feeling the new RL so i too pointed them in the direction of the new M. The interior is sick as well.

4k is heavy, but their 4.5L V8 will really be able to move that thing effortlessly. Agreed on the car - taillights = sex equation.

How about he replace the A8 with a new A8 SWB........that car is awesome.

Or even the 05 Phaeton V8, big car but once the 04s are gone (they just about are)......there will be some killer lease programs on the car just like the 04s.

He is going to look at the new A8L and A6. When did Audi start selling the SWB in the US, I know it wasn't available here last year. I sat in a new A6 4.2 yesterday and it was quite beautiful. The car was black/black with front and rear diffusers, plus a trunk lid spoiler(RS6 type). There are a lot of new cars out currently, so I am trying to throw out suggestions for him. He said he liked the new STS, RL, and M45.

The SWB A8 came out for 05......few thousand less than the L.

I do agree, the A6 looks much better in person than it does in photos. The S Line option is coming (replacing the sport package).....would wait for that if he gets an A6.

The STS is hot, but it seems people are having some problems with them. Would probably stay away from that car for the 1st year.

Don't think you could go wrong with the RL, M, GS....all nice in their own ways.

Infiniti finally has it's shit together... but the next Q is intergal. If your V8 RWD Flagship is a joke, it casts a shadow on the whole line. With the rest of the lineup about as good as it gets (except for the QX), the have very high hopes for the next Q. I really hope they don't screw it up.

Infiniti now needs to add a sporty line ala-M, AMG, V, etc. Then supercharge the V8 for 450HP and do the same with the V6 for 400HP for the G cars.

Yep. I've been wondering what's taken them so long to do that. Nissan has NISMO... My only guess is that it's not on the front burner because it's not seen as essential to survial (which is how they had to pick projects 3 years ago). But this move can only help sel Infinitis, IMO.
