But anyway, yeah, I think we'll have to wait at least several years for a significantly new engine from Infiniti.
I don't think they've had a major engine refresh since enlarging the VQ to 3.5L.

I think it looks great, just enough change to get done what needed to get done (interior and audio) without screwing it up
Magnesium paddle shifters on Sport A/T model
I wonder if this is going to be decent or just the same crappy tiptronic like system in the current one...

Once my 05 g35x lease is up this is certainly the thing to replace it

Couple key points - '07 is almost 1 inch wider with 69.8" vs. 69" before and this is a very strong point, it also sits lower with at 52.7" height vs. 57.7" before. Other things I like, no more orange instrument panel and glad seats adjustment installed on the side now.
Now I just have to see how the engine looks, then drive it, then buy it. Our 330i is one month out of warranty and everytime I look at it I can hear it thinking "I'm going to break soon, suckah". Need to trade in!

probably just a tiptronic/sportshift/etc. I doubt they'd introduce a REAL clutchless manual in this car. Maybe saving for the gt-r?

Do you notice the trend now that all or most of these new cars no longer have body side moldings? I think it looks cleaner w/o them anyways, but it makes you even want to park your car further away.

My M has side moldings...and damn glad it does too.
Last week while washing it, I noticed a "nick" in the side molding. 90% sure it's from another car door.

Stupid mutha-fuckers...evne when I park at the LAST spot in any lot, chances are some DOUCH-BAG will park right next to me, 1 foot away, so their kid has to slam their car door open and force his way out.

The current G35 sedan is OK, and the coupe is gorgeous.
The next G35 sedan is OK plus some, so applying the same formula, the new coupe will also be gorgeous plus some.
#695
Hah, I like that formula. As for CL - Car Chat actually has some pretty cool guys, you just have to be able to sift through the fanboi bullshit that you experience on every manufacturer-catered site to some extent. I sure am glad Steve is posting there though, he makes great points.

Funny how 1Sicklex bashed the shit out of the M, saying shit like it'll fall off 1 year after release only to have it slowly creep up and overtake the sales lead from the GS.
#701
Well the excuse now is that the GS is dropping off because folks are waiting on the 450h, etc... There may be some truth to that, but I don't know how much it'd actually effect overall sales of the GS. Oh, and nevermind the fact that in March '06, the 4 year old model G35 still outsold both new IS's combined... It'll be interesting to hear their excused when the '07 is released and sells as well as the current gen has.

the 450h is more expensive than the v8 model.

^ Although...they may be holding out for the GS350...

That means, down the line, they will have an upgrade. I woulen't be suprised if the names were used a few year from now, for this new gen G's midcycle refresh. Still, I wish I hadn't have known. Ignorance is bliss, in a case like this.

For fucks sake, I was reading about the new G35 thread over on vwvortex and guess who shows up. Thats right, your boy 1sicklex, desparately trying to defend the IS and trash the G. Heres some 1sick wisdom for you guys.
"This thing won't sell more than the current one and sales will drop sharply.
1. Looks, it doesn't look better than a TL, 3 or IS.
2. Interior, no better than a TL, 3 or IS.
3. Power, I am sure Nissan in its quest to be some sort of Japanese Chevy will have 310hp to beat the IS, at a useless 7500 RPM in a luxury branded car, sacrificing torque and fuel economy.
Overall, for a company not exactly firing on all cylinders, and with homeruns from Lexus and BMW this past year, not another home run, but rather a safe opposite field double.
It not only looks pretty much like the current G35 but bulbous. "
Said the same shit about the M, and well like I said earlier, you guys know what car it's outselling that sicklex holds dearly

When my lease is up next year with '04 sedan, I will strongly consider one.
Here are the NEW vs. OLD design points I put together

Wowsers didn't that G35 interior evolve! I just noticed that the RPM and Speedometer gauges are reversed in the new G35 interior, as well as the fuel and temp gauges.
Now, they just need to move the gas tank door to the left side and it will be fully compatible with Honda/Acura cars

Funny shit. He doesn't get the fact that Nissan is the second most profitable car company in the world. Even funnier when the current (really OLD) G35 still outsells the IS series
