I bet in person this car is a stunner!
Agree, now the front of the Hyundai Genesis coupe has finally taken on the Hyundai identity, which is a good thing for the brand.

Overall... It'll work fine as a DD usage between Ohio and PA -- and everywhere else I drive... much larger rear seat and trunk for the kiddos and occasional co-workers... and at the end of the day it'll allow me to "blend in" with the masses moreso then I did with a modded DD... while I have my project car for the sunny days and weekends.

don't get me wrong... maybe because from the other part of the Ocean, but I cannot suffer any product from Hyundai... Hyundai here is not considered very much indeed. And yes, I would take an honest TL 4gn that a car that mimic other luxury brands. Hyundai make now better cars, but the road to the top is still long.

and my 4G was not without its faults... I'm not for whining on a public forum... but those who know me know that I spent a great deal of time loaners in my 14 months / 44k miles of ownership. It was quirky in its own way.

You have to understand too that you could from a part of the world that values aesthetics and design. The Renaissance, Impressionism, etc ...

Here we have companies that think a focus group can design a car and the Asian manufacturers who are marching to a beat of a different drum and really aren't taken as seriously in Europe.

For some reason one ocean hasn't been a deterrent to getting into the American market but clearly two has been too much

It is. Very nice color, top notch paint quality and build. I saw your thread where you were looking to get one. You won't regret it.

Price Jump!

The Azera isn’t the only new Hyundai inline for a price hike as the Korean automaker will also add a $2,000 premium to the bottom line of the 2013 Genesis coupe. Thanks to a new face and improved drivetrain, the 2013 Genesis coupe will arrive with a base price of $25,125.

The top-spec 2013 Genesis coupe 3.8 Track model with an eight-speed automatic transmission will arrive with a sticker of $35,125, which is also an increase of $2,000.

The revised 2013 Genesis coupe will arrive in showrooms in March.

Hmmm, any info on the content? Surely it has more standard content at that price.

I think the engine upgrade alone was pretty damn significant.

Still using the same blocks. Can't see a 2k increase because of engine modifications. I'm guessing it now comes standard with a few more options. If the trim levels remain unchanged from 12' that equates to $47.60 per HP for the V6.

Don't forget the new 8 speed AT.

LED tails.
New Interior.
Selectable 2-stage ESC
Blue Link
HD Radio

Those are just some of the changes off the top of my head.

I thought the next Genesis came with the 274hp 2.0 GDI Turbo from the Sonata? Still below 300 but much better than it was.

Also, all due respect but I don't know where you're getting your prices from? Just the base price?

In either case I'm taking the Hyundai because it'll have a lot more content and be a nicer car. A base V6 Mustang or Camaro is going to be an underwhelming experience. Especially given the V6 Mustang I'd order would be about $30k. The Camaro probably as much.

On the other end, the Mustang, Camaro, and Z would all be around $40k.
