I am eager to see a more in depth road test of the 335i coupe.
Between the E92 335i coupe and the remaining E46 M3s, BMW 3-series coupe buyers have two terrific options to choose from. (NOTE: I am still a bit partial to the M3 though, I do like the 335i's torque band: 300lb-ft from 1400-5000rpm )

but the 335i is like a reincarnation of the 1992 toyota supra, nissan fairlady, mazda rx 7, and mitsu 3000gt 325hp twin turbo era. same inline 6 3 liter twin turbo engines making the same 300/300 figures with the same rwd. but this is 2007 soon.... you can buy a twin turbo 1992 supra with more hp than the 335i for $5k? 15 years have passed since twin turbo 3.0 liters I6 engines made 300hps?

i dont understand why so many people here are so excited and crazy about a 3l i6 twin turbo making 300/300? you guys dont remember the 1992 supras, 300zx, 3000gts, rx-7, and nissan skylines? some of those production cars safetly boost their hp to 500+ in the 1990's. i think mitsu's evo x 4 banger with 300+ hp and nissan's next g35 with a 3 or 3.5 liter turbo making 500hp is more impressive.

You would have money left over to fix it and make it even faster than an evo.

You know how much those cars costed when they came out in the 90s?
Just imagine how must they would cost in 2007.

Guys, let's please try to avoid the personal attacks. Not agreeing on automotive issues is nothing wrong or new, just no personal attacks. Calling people name is as such.

Back on topic: given the N54's torque band (read:area under curve), I am fairly confident that the N54 > VG30DETT/2JZGTE/6G72T (stock) when it comes to power delivery. NOTE: Of all these, I only recall the Stealth R/T Turbo (6G72T) as being able to post a sub-5 0-60 time in mags (Road & Track?). I imagine AWD had a part to play in that though.

seeing how there was one guy who was banned for making comments not nearly as retarded as this current guy i dont think its a matter of disagreeing

Hehehe. I stated on page 36 that this E92 335i will match current M3 numbers and here they are very, very close. And I'm sure people will post low 13s some day. I found a new car for me in a year or so .

No different than with the E46 330 ZHP compared to the E36 M3. The ZHP being a few ticks off, but real close.

I was thinking that but the ZHP didnt come out till 03 where the last E36 m3 was 99.
The E46 m3 dead body is hardly cold and this 335 is already out being close to its performance. Guess BMW is actually feeling the heat from the other makers?

If one adjusts for inflation, that Z32 TT would cost $54,600 in today's dollars.

I would agree that the N54 is greater, but i'd still take the 2jzgte engine any day of the week. Lets face it, that iron block was TOUGH!
Seeing that I'm planning on getting a 335, i'd like to personally say thank you to Lexus's IS350, Infiniti's G35, and Audi's S4 and RS4 for forcing BMW into cars that arent just fast in the twisties but also in the straightaways and highways that define this country.

Geesh.
But true, it is fairly clear as to what one is talking about by just stating 'H22' or 'B16' (although a '1' or '5' suffix might be needed when discussing the B18 and 'A2', 'A3' or 'Z3' with the K20 ).
If Honda would have followed Nissan, Toyota and Mitsu's lead, we might have had a C32ATT in the NSX.

You certainly seem to lean towards that age group by reading some of your posts... Are posts like this the only way you can get your point across? And umm who sounds like they are 5?
