And like I said, I think I'd prefer the GT-R. On styling alone the GT-R is better More rumored hp, AWD, and should be a monster around the track.

I don't even know why you take time to click into this thread....
btw you got lotta friends in this forum.......I posted a while back that MB, BMW, Lexus has superior luxury name brand.....apparently lot of them disagreed

superior luxury name brand, i would have to agree. but the RL has a majority of them beat, but people in that market see MB vs. Acura, they just hear the name. it's hard to argue the MB E class, that thing is just a winner.
personally i like lexus, and i'm looking for a 4 door AWD in the coming years, and i like the GS over any of the acura stuff right now.
i just have known alot of bmw owners, especially the M3, and i can't tell you how many complaints i've heard, this goes without saying, but not a single one owns a bmw anymore. i also won't deny the new M5/M6 are both MONSTER cars. but for the cost, i would put 100G on something a little more 'name brand' than bmw if you know what i mean ;]

M3 convertible...?
From Leftlanenews...
Recent media reports have suggested BMW would not offer a convertible version of its next-generation M3 because the M division was not satisfied with the 2007 3-Series Convertible as a basis for the car. According to the reports, engineers felt the folding metal roof would make the car too top-heavy to be worthy of an M badge.
While there has been no confirmation one way or the other, spy photographers have snapped what appear to be photos of a 2009 BMW M3 Convertible prototype. The quad exhaust pipes, hood bulge, and new front and rear fascias make it painfully obvious that this is an M3. Our conclusion? The E93 M3 is most certainly a go.

2006 base MSRP is only ~$48 and change everyone should remember...despite the fact the new one will have V8 power, I think they'd be shooting themselves in the foot if they were to raise the base MSRP any more than $5-6k
#2158
Not sure how I feel about the V8 either. I would have been warmer on the car if it was getting an evolution of the I-6 (more power/dispacement). The V8 engine and proposed pricing will put this M3 in the middle of some pretty nasty competition.
