Notice that like for the previous TL and RDX concepts, now the grille is a traditional Honda grille, the rear-view mirrors are traditional and not cameras, and the headlights are projectors and not LED.
I like where it's going, I just hope they change the tail a little bit and make it more like the MDX/RDX, the tail lights look kind of funny on this one...

I love that concept car. I would trade in my 2004 TL for that vehicle if it had a powerful enough engine to match the performance of my TL and AWD. I hope it stays about the same size as the TSX which I consider to be the perfect size sports sedan.

I wouldn't be surprised. Even the 1st gen CLs have the 5-point grill, just not so emphasized. But a lot of other companies do this also. Jeep has their vertical grill bars; VW/Audi has that super front grill; bmw has their dual front grill; infiniti has their grill with horizontal lines; etc. Makes it easier to tell who a car is made by.

Although I'm hoping for more grilles like the new MDX

yeah they lose that edge... my favorite concept was the last TSX A-Spec... i thought it was pretty bad ass, if only that hit production... i would pay an additional 5-8k to get it like that... they need to differentiate the A-Spec from the stock TSX, the same way a AMG or M-Series is different from their base counterparts, keep them in limited quantities...
the body kit with center exhaust, brembo brakes, nice rims, really sporty interior, add some more power, maybe push the K24 to 230-240hp or something...

I understand Honda wanting to be iconic with the same grill styles thru-out their Acura line, but the 5 point grill is ...meh.
Sometimes is a good thing to stray from the same grill style...like MB did with the SLK and SLR.

The A-spec concept wheel/tire combo is perfect. Not a fan of the center routed dual exhaust though.
IMO, next gen TSX does not need RDX powertrain. It will morph into yet another MazdaSpeed6. If I want a boosted, bloated sedan I'll buy an Audi thank you.
I wonder if Honda can revise the S2000 platform. Can you imagine how many TSX's would fly out the door w/ J30A engine and RWD?

If someone would make a light (3000-3200lbs), RWD, 2+2 coupe with a efficient 4 cly. for under/around 30K I'd be in line for one... Only thing that comes close is the RX-8, and those have oil/fuel consumption issues.

I don't know why they can't. The CL, TL and RL were based of the accord platform, so I'm sure they could mod the s2k platform into a 2+2 coupe and sedan. I've been wanting a 2+2 hardtop coupe version of the s2k for awhile... Doesn't make much sense to drive a convertible up here in new england where you can only enjoy top down weather for 4 months out of the year, so a s2k is out.

It really doesn't matter if it was an old concept, happens all the time on boards a lot more serious than this, but lets be serious.
The Sports 4 Concept was originally shown October 20, 2005; you posted it practically a year later "HOPING it wasn't a photoshop".

What would be really sick if the two metallic strips located at the air dam area on the passenger and driver side turned out to be day time/night time running led's too!

I'd prefer next gen TSX to remain same size, similar curb weight -- if they insist on no V6, turbo 4 is okay.
Just don't add AWD and make a fat turd. Obesity is a killer.

Look at the a4 2.0T. it's a great car with AWD so why couldn't acura pull it off?

I'm not saying Acura can't, just that I'd prefer the TSX to stay in the wheelhouse of nimble.
The TSX as is, is a dancer. If you want straightline power go w/ the TL.

2006 Honda Sports 4 Concept
From rsportscars.com...
Honda has unveiled a next-generation sports sedan concept car at Sydney’s Australian International Motor Show.
The Honda Sports 4 Concept points the way to future Honda sports sedans, featuring a sleek, bold exterior with a low-center of gravity and low inertia body.
On the inside is a sports cockpit with futuristic controls laid out for instant “at a glance” recognition and intuitive information displays. The interior is sculpted as a “one form” design from metal, wood and leather.
The Sports 4 features Honda’s renowned Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system coupled with a five-speed sequential shift automatic transmission for outstanding driving pleasure.
The four wheel double-wishbone suspension continues the best traditions of Honda’s sports cars to deliver exceptional road-holding ability.
The four occupants have individual bucket seats and personal “skyroofs” operated from controls on their seats.
Also featuring on Honda’s stand this year is a limited-edition Accord VTi with leather seats, leather steering wheels, front fog lights, rear parking sensors, power steering wheel and metallic paint.
A new feature of the Honda stand is a dedicated F1 section complete with a wall mounted, full size F1 car.
