So that's why Acura put on that stupid looking shield on all of its cars.

Is this the market Acura is going after now. Paying for product placement in movies for 14 year old boys. Seems like a waste of money but what do I know

I guess the Destroyer doesn't like Acura's new styling direction either.

Acura: 25 Years Milestone **Bargain Birth (page 2)**

http://celebrate.acura.com/?source=newsletter

The Acura division of American Honda Motors was launched in March of 1986, and to celebrate our 25th anniversary, we have developed a mini-site where owners can submit stories about Acura. Submissions have a 2,000 character limit, can include past or current models, and may be accompanied by one JPG photo. You can submit your story through the mini-site, and upon approval, it will be posted there. Some of the stories will also be published in a special anniversary issue of Acura Style magazine.
Celebrate is a site for Acura owners to share their stories with other Acura owners. From the world’s first Japanese luxury vehicles, the Legend and Integra, to our latest efforts including the groundbreaking ZDX, Acura has spent the last 25 years advancing the automotive experience. Engineered to connect with your life in as many places as possible, your Acura has no doubt played a part in a lot of your stories. To help us celebrate our anniversary, we’d like you to share some of them
I think I might tell them my story about my multiple transmissions made of glass....the rattle box interior.....the paint that would scratch and chip just by looking at it......

since they have to approve your story before it appears on the site, i'm guessing the stories will be a bunch of acura fan boy crap

Tell 'em about how you think Acura has done over the past 25 years.

I got this too. I was thinking of writing something on my now stolen CL-6 but Acura considers that, the RL, and the Vigor to be the 3 turkey cars they've build.

I saw this about a week ago and all I could think is that ThinJim should tell them his CL-S story. For those who don't travel to the 2nd gen CL forums, here is his story.......

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-cl-2001-2003-50/before-after-490410/

but since that is many many pages long, here's the nearly finished project......

https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...&postcount=372

Quite possibly the most powerful and fastest Acura on the planet.

Since there are a lot of people who still like the brand, I'd imagine their stories will be real. Just because won't post the the crap, doesn't mean the good ones are not real.

Tell 'em your stories about the transmission replacements!

That being said, I did really enjoy the CL-S...stupid Acura, discontinuing their coupes.

^^ I enjoyed my CL-S too!......with the exception of the multiple transmissions (1st replacement at 10k miles ) the rattle box interior, torque steer that could break your wrist  , cheap paint, replacing front brakes waaaaay too often.

Other than that, it was great!

Ah, you said dash lights. 04 TSX's had an issue where all the center consoles lights go out because of a faulty radio.

Fun times.

I didnt say there weren't people who liked the brand. Just said i doubt they would post the bad stories. So the bad stories shouldnt be told as well? yea, that makes the car company great

I still have one of the 5 5 speed auto trans failures laying on my garage if you would like it its yours.

That is not what you said. You said "no real stories" <- Three little words. How could I possibly misinterpret that?

No = not in any degree or manner; not at all

Real = existing or occurring as fact; actual rather than imaginary, ideal, or fictitious

Stories = a narrative, either true or fictitious, in prose or verse, designed to interest, amuse, or instruct the hearer or reader; tale.

I even acknowledged that they would post negative ones. Duh, why would they? But that doesn't mean that the ones that get posted are fictitious.

Similar but different. On a Japanese car all of your dash lights go out for no good reason. In a European car all the warning lights on the dash come on for no good reason.

Not really, lol!

When the dash lights go out, it usually means the bulbs (or fuses) are burnt(if that's what he meant) and needs replacing.

When the warning lights come on, it usually means that something is wrong with one of the engine's electrical components.

Which is worse?

or.....

I've had a bad clockspring before.....so it had nothing to do with the two options you posted above
