i'm installing my old alpine headunit and bought a wiring harness from ebay. everythings connected correctly but i still don't hear anything from the speakers. i've tried searching and my results tell me that i need to tap into the stock amp (not sure if the CLs have one?) and turn it on thru my headunit with the blue wire. my harness doesn't have wires to connect the blue wire, or blue stripe wire from my HU. maybe thats the problem? even turning to the radio, theres no static or anything. whats up!? help me out audio guys.

 

Not sure what the question is.. You don't have a wire on the metra harness or the radio harness?

 

the radio harness has a bluewire going out. (assuming like the blue wire you see on amps. pos, red, brown/black, ground, and blue for turn on.) but the metra harness doesn't have one for it. soo my reasoning and research tell me that my stock amp isn't turning on so i don't hear anything from my speakers.

You got the wrong harness. Buy the right one.
