What would it take...
What would it take to put a laptop into car? I would assume some type of converter... also would there be problems with putting that in cause the laptop takes a lot of power. I am new to this but I was interested in throwing it in for some stuff.

i have my laptop running off a 400 watt power supply and the car runs fine. i also have a system. the laptop is mounted in the middle right in front of the AC conteols, its kind of a pain in the ass with a big ass laptop in the way of the ac controls. i bought a jotto desk (jottodesk.com) for 200 bucks. its the same thing the cops use. and i bolted it into the passenger side. it takes up about 5 inches of passenger leg room so dont let your drunk friend sit in front. i had to make a custom brace to hold the back of the desk. i used the cd holder that is right above the radio and bolted 2 metal braces that keep the laptop from wiggling around. ill post some pics when i get home.

I am thinking of putting my laptop into my acura too, i have a dell insprion 4150 with a pentium 4 so it would be the most power hogging of most laptops, however its power supply states that it only uses 75w max, so witha dc to ac converter which come in like 100w +, you should be fine with just a single laptop, if you want to plug more things in buy a converter with more wattage, just dont do what homer simpsons did in that ep when he filled the car with microwaves and blenders, lol
