tire suggestion for 07 MDX?
tire suggestion for 07 MDX?
my 07 MDX is around 45k miles and the stock tires are near the end of their lifespan. i maybe could run them a bit longer but they look worn and are noisy.
I could go with the same tires - the Michelin Latitudes...or swap to something else. a new set of OEM tires will run roughly $1000...give or take...
has anyone changed to a different tire and felt it was a big improvement.. in genreal Michelin tires, in my opion, are pretty good if you stick with hte nice ones. I always felt my MDX handled pretty darn well fo ra big fat SUV... so i'm not dying to change to something different... but if there is a consensus that the OEM tires suck and there is big improvement to be had by switching, I'd love to hear abou tit.
I looked on tire rack and saw there are summer SUV tires..which have much lower treadwear ratings.so I assume they are stickier and would handle better, but obvously with a cost of tire life/wear.... not sure I would go that route for a daily driver/ mommy mobile / famly hauler....
looking for a good overall tire...although I do live in an area where my car will virtually NEVER see snow... i am in so cal. the "worst" weathe my MDX sees is so cal *rain*... so wet / snow capabilities is a low priority...
maybe i'll wind up taking it to the mountains sometime..when there coudl ber some light snow...but my car will never ben in "real" snow...
that said - any suggestions on tires from first hand experience? thanks.

I love the General Grabber HTS.
Nice controlled and comfortable ride, quiet, great traction in wet, dry and in snow ( I do need the wet/Snow traction in MN)
A Great improvement over the OE tires.
And it costs only $149 at Tirerack or $169 at Discount tires.
