Do you just put it on the speaker hole and the hole out and that's it. Crutchfield says something about putting the excess on the speaker basket. What are they talking about Willis?

Don't know what CF is talking about. Withthe crappy speakers they sell I can see them wanting to damp the flimsy frame a bit, but I wouldn't apply it to the speaker, because I use a heat gun to get the stuff hot first, and I wouldn't get my speaker hot.

You will find many pics on the web about applying sound damping. It's NOT just put it in the speaker hole. Since I guess you weren't willing to pay for it being done... : )
